"ours was a party for ten to celebrate a 70th birthday. comfortably seated came our charming waitress rhianna and took our orders with exactly the right mix of professionalism and ease. eating when it arrived was excellent. after our end of the table, the two men had the most magnificent T-bones steaks, thick, tasty and beautiful presented with a selection of three beautiful sauces (I went for slender and white wine). the women had both flame grilled vegan burgers who were declared to be the best they ever had! with the main course a wonderful birthday cake was arrived. the drinks and menu prices were very competitive and the service thought out was error-free. a great thank you to jan and her wonderful team for an unforgettable night."

Fantastic evening out with family. First time out and we were looked after so well. The pizzas were lovely and the gluten free pizza was one of the best. Will definitely be going back.

great personal, great place with wonderful atmosphere. tables and floors kept clean and eating was top notch. drinking were a bit more on the expensive side, but they get what they pay.

Sunday roast in the chequers inn with the family was absolutely delicious. the children had the child portion chicken roasted and finished everything on their tellers! I had the veggiebrates with veggie kies and it was amazing, the rest of the family had bark and huh and all veg were perfectly cooked. many thanks, jan and the team for such a great service. would definitely recommend x.

Long waiting between the courses. Probably they waited for the shareholders' meeting to finish ready for those who booked tables. Food and plates were hot, for the first time in a restaurant where plates were hot, which helped keep the food hot to the end. Chicken was dry in the microwave, I guess. Beer good, but abscence of good cider remarkable. Why not Kentish Pip cider, it's Kent Afterall. Will I eat again? Yeah, it's a new pub, so it takes time.

Wow! A hidden gem in a small village just outside Deal. Welcome welcome the team were fantastic come into our lounge, let’s have a chat, and let me serve you some amazing food while you unwind from the week and enjoy the casual ambience and great music. Food glorious food! Delicious steak complimented by some spicy and tantalising starters we highly recommend the chicken livers and spicy chilli beef! Overall a brilliant evening.
