"I don't even know where to begin with this restaurant review. We had booked a 90th birthday Sunday lunch for my mum well in advance for a table of 10, plus our granddaughter who needed a highchair. We provided preorders for the kitchen due to two guests being lactose intolerant, including our 14-month-old granddaughter. We had discussed dietary requirements with the manager, Josh, a week before the booking. However, when we arrived on the day, there was no lift available as there had been a party the night before. We had to help some of the elderly guests upstairs without any assistance or apology. Once upstairs, there was no highchair set up, and we had to find a missing seat ourselves. Despite preordering, the menus were incorrect, and we had to wait 50 minutes for starters, which were also served incorrectly to the lactose intolerant guests. By 1.30 pm, our mains still had not arrived, so we decided to leave. The chef shouted at us as we left, making inappropriate comments. Overall, it was a miserable experience, and we will be contacting the Council regarding the restaurant's disregard for dietary requirements and lack of communication about the broken lift."

Very pretentious atmosphere and overly crowded by the evening. Like with all pubs it is far too over priced and full of idiots. Price per person: £60–70 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2 Voir le carte

a must for food! all freshly cooked, piping hot and cooked to literally perfection. service was amazing, attentive and friendly ladies looking for us. recommend the Scotch eggs and the Hiumi frits, compliments to the cook. huge selection of gins also. in any case it is worth a visit if they are in the opposite, or even if they are ready to travel. will be again for a breakfast Sunday dinner!

This was our first time dining at The Carriage House and we enjoyed the delicious Sunday roast. There were plenty of vegetable side dishes, and we especially liked the red cabbage. I deducted one star because my husband didn't love his baked cheesecake. However, we were impressed by the fast and friendly service. Overall, I would rate the food a 4, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a 5. I would recommend trying the Sunday roast.

Feels like the need to decide if they're a football pub or a pleasant gastro. Food is decent (but no kids menu). Service is good in the whole. Drinks are good and there are special offers in some days. The atmosphere is football pub if there is a match on and relaxed with occasional live music outside of match days. Kid-friendliness: No kids menu in the main pub. But crayons and kid friendliness in the upstairs restaurant. Food: 4 Voir le carte

visited here on a Friday night and we were the only table all night. the eating was nice and the service of the personal was great, both in the restaurant above and in the bar below. good menu and perfect portion sizes. I had the cow and. my friend had the huh kiew, both served with potatoes and sweet. Dessert options were also good. our waitress suggested to come back to her Roast dinner on a Sunday, to which we will reserve safely in future. highly recommended.

first visit since the reopening of the restaurant. the menu is quite as I remembered, but with comprehensible some price increases. Saturday night, not very busy. whitebait was nice, but portion size was small good job, they get some focaccia and dips with. to start. a heaper was again rather small for the price and came without sauce; that would have pointed out to order, but the waiting staff was obviously still learning. pie main was good; boar a bit hard. with drinks 2 courses plus 1 cheese board came at £50 per head, so this is far from a cheap option. In view of the competition, I would not rush back, but I said that they have success, as it is nowhere else decent to eat in higham!

"this was my birthday contract with the children (in their 40's go to lunch big situation, but the management is missing in action. we smiled at the typos. the menu, but it turned out to be a symptom of deficiency...view to detail. very friendly (but quite inexperienced waiting staff. great location and a very warm welcome. water came pretty fast. the starters were pretty good (3 ham hock croquettes and a panko chicken. the mains were another thing. two fish and chips very nice, good portions and well presented. burger was terrible. here is the menu description 6oz coarsely ground beef burger, candied speck, soft bevel, cheddar cheese, salattomate . the reality was a burger in a bungalow with a piece soggy salat and maybe some cheese. no speck, no tomats, no wobble so £18 for an average qualitysburger and they have to pay extra for riders! To conclude that there was at least 5 10 minutes after the other net, so we sat just wait and had to ask the waitress when it came. description • crispy confit ente bein, herby buttermilk waffel, fried due egg with maple senf dressing the reality that was inspected and watery it looked out and tasted as if it were boiled to death. the herby buttermilk waffel was chewing and certainly in a blind taste test I would swear that there is no more crumble in. to cover, it was cold. the sniffing was nicely spread in the waffles that gave them a taste. we also ordered the knochenmark from the menu. No one had said to the poor waitress that they should have been ordered to tell the diners what was going on and no. the menu. when we complained, the manager had not even come the courtesy and see us they left the poor junior waiterin to explain that the speck had not come with the delivery to the last day (one ever heard that he jumps out of the super market to buy some? and there was no excuse for the missing tomats, very badly sorry for us, so on. desserts the brownie was very nice, but the eton mess was a catastrophe. it came in a small delicate glass. in the ground a buckling of whipped cream with some slabs of stone hard meringue and some earthy with stems overfilled with some earthberry syrup. after bending the spoon. we decided to solve it by hand. I was afraid that I would break a tooth on the notched position that really needed to be served with a hammer. the only way to eat the earthy was to pick them up from the body, to bite and to eat to which time our hands were covered in sauce. on the plus side, they drew the price of the burger and Eton fair and 25% of the duck, as we had 3 glasses of wine and a koks, the bill was still over £120 without drinking money. to say that by my choice of restaurants, I would be embarrassing a rough understatement."
