Absolutely delicious! Food was amazing and they were incredibly accommodating of my gluten intolerance too with options immediately available. My husband couldn’t praise the mushrooms enough!

Told technical difficulties with card machines caused us not to be served when we have clearly seen several people who came after us be served before us. We spoke to one of the staff and was told he would get our order taken this did not happen and then when we went inside we were told it is table service only. Voir le carte

The cakes at this restaurant have always been delicious, but the new Christmas cake they are offering is absolutely exceptional! I highly recommend visiting in December before it's gone. The staff are attentive and the cozy atmosphere of this independent establishment makes it a preferred choice over chain restaurants any day. Don't miss out on their fantastic cakes and teas.

Today we had lunch at this restaurant and, overall, the food was very good. However, I found it to be quite expensive. I paid £8 for a ham and tomato toastie, which I thought was unreasonable once it was served. It only consisted of two pieces of brown toast, two pieces of what looked like bacon, and a few slices of tomato. The quality of the food was good, but I felt the price was too high.

The waiter was very friendly and told us to sit down, assuring us that someone would come take our order. However, no one came even though customers who arrived after us were served before us. We had to call out to a waitress for assistance. One of our cakes was missing cream, despite us asking for it. The Victoria sponge was just okay, nothing special. What was more concerning was that while we were there, our order was not correct and we witnessed multiple mistakes at other tables - one person received a dry scone with no jam or cream, another table was given the wrong hot drinks. Went there whilst visiting Weymouth for the first time and loved it. We sat outside which despite being right next to a busy road, was quiet and there was no seagulls either. The menu seemed a bit basic but the food was super tasty! I had a cheese and tomato toastie which was a very big portion and came with a side salad and coleslaw. My only negative was that my americano came with hot milk straight in the mug which was basically a cappuccino not what I asked for but it was still a good coffee. As a local resident, I have visited on many occasions. I love their toasted cheese and onion sandwiches which draw me back to eat there. I have dietary needs due to an operation and will ask for smaller portions. Whilst on the whole this request is met I find that no allowance is made in the pricing for the smaller amount of food ordered being told on many occasions that we will have to charge full price The food on the whole is excellent, if not slightly overpriced. A small glass tub of pickle is charged extra and gives the impression that such items help inflate the cost of your meal. The name of this tea room definitely stood out on the map of Weymouth! I looked it up before I came and read excellent reviews....and here's another! I was especially interested to read that they are very considerate of special diets and having had lunch here 2 days in a row during my short break, I can confirm this to be true. This tea room is very popular and it's easy to see why! It can be difficult to get a table but I was lucky on my 2 visits. You're given a very warm welcome on arrival and then you choose where you'd like to sit. It's table service here and they take payment as soon as you've finished placing your order.
