The Butchers Arms - Carte

Used to have our dinner every Sunday but since lockdown we have started having take aways and what a loverly dinner and afters going to have it every Sunday now thanks Julie for a lovely meal xxxxxx

We were on holiday in the area and the Sunday lunch was recommended but there was only a takeaway service available but this was very good we had it for 2 weeks I don't know how they did it for the money. The service was on time and hot and cooked well.

Heading to the Airport and seen the sign at road junction and decided to give it a go and was we’ll pleased. Depends what direction you come in from but you could drive by it, I did and had to turn around and glad I did. Staff were young so not the best but have to learn somewhere, didn’t put me off the food more that made up for it. I had a lovely pie with a gravy boat of lovely beef gravy very large portion.

This is my first time dining at The Butcher's Arms. They are currently only offering takeout, but should resume normal dining at the end of October. I had the roast beef and my wife had lamb, both with all the fixings. We also had pudding for dessert, which was served in very generous portions. Luckily, we had enough space in our vehicle to enjoy our homemade dinner. We will definitely keep this restaurant on our list for future visits to the area.

Staying locally for the weekend and recommended by a neighbour. So glad I listened. Rung through my order for Sunday lunch and collected. The owner chef is delightful, knowledgeable and very accommodating. My wife is vegetarian and gluten intolerant and so she came up with a list of dishes she could make for her. Food served on proper plates (to be returned) with takeaway pots of differing gravy. The food is delicious, hot and very good value. This was only our 3rd visit to the Butchers Arms and it was a really nice night out. The Landlord was welcoming (good sense of humour), the food was excellent and the Beer tasty (Hop house 13). We have eaten at quite a lot of Pubs in North Norfolk down the years, last Saturdays meal for me was the best one ever. The owners have clearly overcome the problems of the past and my 2 regrets are that I've only just discovered it and I live 120 miles away! If you like a relaxed atmosphere, a normal for Norfolk welcome and tasty home cooking then this little gem is a must.

My partner and I decided to stop by this restaurant today for a drink. I was surprised to see a Pinot Grigio served in such a large glass, which was unusual. Upon entering, we noticed a small group of three or four people chatting, who seemed to be regulars. We were the only other customers in the restaurant. The atmosphere was lacking, with only a fire burning and horrible music playing from a local radio station. Maybe it livened up in the evening, but it was disappointing during our visit. As we left, we politely thanked the group and one of the females responded in a strange manner. Overall, I would not choose to return to this restaurant as there are much better places to enjoy a drink....

I recently dined at this restaurant with some friends for the first time. While my friends were not impressed, I found the food to be enjoyable for a pub in a Norfolk village. The dishes were hot and tasty, and the atmosphere, although a bit dull, was decent. We felt a bit uncomfortable as we seemed to be attracting unwanted attention from a few regulars, possibly due to my friends being a bit loud. I would consider dining here again, or maybe just grabbing a drink, but perhaps without my friends in tow. The bartender mentioned that a major renovation is in the works, so it will be interesting to see the changes. The restroom was well-stocked for customers, which I appreciated. Ample parking...
