"Very disappointing in every respect. We had read that this hotel had an 'award winning chef ' if so, he cannot have had much to do with our meal! We ordered Beef as a reheated, factory produced object it was 'saggy ' and collapsed with very little meat filling. By contrast, the industrial slab of Lasagne was reheated to the point of being burnt around the outside. As it was our wedding anniversary we were stuck with what was available and as no waiting staff were in the room, we were not able to complain! We ate what we could and left the room, only to be pursued by a waiter, concerned that we needed to log the meal to our hotel room number. Sadly the same energy had not been applied either to the cooking or the service. It was classic 'Fawlty Towers ' we cannot recommend this place as at all representative of what a passable restaurant should be like, even at half of what we paid."

Totally different from our previous experience, we were greeted within seconds by a lovely young man called Tom, very polite and friendly, the food was delicious, the only criticism is the room was a bit cold

The starter wasn’t great, (sharing platter which consisted of a couple of bread rolls, butter and olives) but the main meal (chicken) was nice. I wouldn’t say it was value for money though and the drinks were expensive.

not as hygienic as I would expect especially during Kovid times. we had problems with two things (I usually never sent food again) but one of the waiting workers was great in apologizing and treating the problems. the eating itself was a mix, felt a bit like a restaurant that tried to beat over its weight and really did not ask up to the trips.

We had a lovely meal. My husband had soup and beef, which he said was very tasty and I had goats cheese and pan fried cod which was very enjoyable. Samfire was a new experience and quite tasty if a little stringy . We both had apple torte which was delicious. There were not many people in the restaurant but enough to create a good atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive.
