"The food at this restaurant is excellent. It is clearly prepared by a skilled chef who knows what they are doing, rather than just reheating frozen dishes. Three of us ordered the black pudding and haggis stack, while one had the rarebit. All of the dishes were fantastic and absolutely delicious. We all agreed that our main courses were fantastic and were impressed by the fresh and perfectly cooked vegetables served with them (cabbage, broccoli, leeks, mange tout). The chips also deserve a special mention - they were delicious! Unfortunately, we were too full to try any desserts. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Although we have only recently moved to the area, we will definitely be returning to this restaurant."

Took my two boys out for a birthday meal. My ribeye steak was definitely the best I've ever had. Excellent!

I went to this restaurant for lunch on a Saturday with a friend. The food was excellent and the service was friendly and efficient. We definitely plan on returning to try the pizza because it looked amazing! Voir le carte

What a welcome! We just popped in for a drink and a take away pizza after a beautiful long walk at dovedale. The staff were so friendly and engaging. Lovely with our dog, helpful and so welcoming. Pizza was fabulous. We’ll be back!

Top top place for dinner, the service was great and the food even better! We shared the ribs for starter and they were moist and tasty. For main I had the burger and when you picked it up, god was it heavy. Only managed to share a dessert Damn I wish this place was nearer than my 140 miles journey.

This restaurant is incredible! There was nothing to fault. The food was delicious! We both ordered steak dishes and everything on the plate was cooked perfectly and so flavorful. The portions were generous. The staff was really friendly. There is a car park opposite the restaurant and also on road parking nearby. Voir le carte

Fantastic pub! Excellent food, the staff were friendly and atmosphere was good. We had the camembert to share (and it came with enough bread for two which they often dont! , the sirloin steak, a pizza and a kids pasta and it was all absolutely delicious! Good selection of drinks too, the Pinot Grigio Blush was devine! We will definitely go again when we're in the area

We were staying at Mayfield Snuggery lodges close by and decided to have a late lunch. We were not disappointed at all. The food was very impressive and service was great. We decided to take advantage of the takeaway pizza offer for later in the evening. We reheated the pizza and both agreed that they were up there with the best pizzas we have eaten. We cannot wait to be back next time we are staying in the area.
