"Went here for a late lunch with my partner. The service is okay, they didn't realise we were waiting to order until we went up to the counter to ask to order. Slightly inattentive. The food I order a crispy confit duck and my parter the salted beef burger The crispy confit duck was beautiful. The duck was succulent and not dry. There were just the right amount of salt and the sweet potato that came with the plate was also perfect. Everything on the plate was outstanding The salted beef burger is alright. To be fair, no beef is as good as Australian beef. The burger had way too much mustard which overpowered the whole bun and beef making it difficult to eat without tearing up. Maybe...read more"

excellent brunch menu. I have shared my hunter breakfast with my mother, it is huge! also recommend the blase and squeak, it is not fat at all and the sausages are delicious

the green eggs ordered. delicious! perfectly cooked egg. lachs tasted fresh and well seasoned. the sourdough bread has tied everything together. Sorry, I just had a place for a quick brunch. will be back for more!

they needed a lot of time to serve four of us and they do not cooked eggs. the shares were not sufficient for the price they calculated. I felt they could add more brot. that was good, and I'll give the cook full marks.

average waiting time 45 minutes. Now it's a little bit much if you're for a coffee and a few bites. but add a little more as the service takes a little longer. eating was pale, but a bit dirty for the compared cost. ambiance is a certain

one of the best coffees I had in london. the coffee is perfect everyone who likes coffee beans that are nutty and strong. the breakfast is also great. we had the jäger and collector's breakfast. the mushrooms, the egg, the French sourded and the sausages are perfectly cooked. But there's a bit of water smell when they sit outside. I will recommend to sit in the interior instead.

a perfect place for breakfast/brauschen with beautiful coffee, friendly staff and the best hatch in the city! we went from black penny when we were on the way to the british museum. there are both exterior and interior seats. we chose the inside because we like his inside and music, I must say that the crispy ente hash is a very unique menu in london, a must-try delicious article!

brunch! it was so long since I enjoyed a quality brunch that I could not have been excited anymore when I finally found a Saturday in the middle of the morning dawn where I was free to pamper myself. now I had a lot of places I knew I wanted to try, but at the end we decided to visit the black penny in holborn. We arrived quite early and could sit quickly. my advice would be to do the same, because if we were up there was a rather formidable waiting queue that is formed outside that they might want to avoid.

it was a pretty artful week: modigliani on Tuesday, a second visit to cezanne in the national portrait gallery with my friend annette on Friday, and today a full-day course on the exciting and fabulous late 16th century artist, michelangelo merisi, otherwise known as caravaggio. I think I might have become a fan, and fascinated by, caravaggio by I have so much andrew Graham-Dixon on television in recent years! caravaggio is his field and his favorite artist. but also I remember going to an exhibition years ago, I can't even remember what or when, and the caravaggios so strong out that even in a large room I was drawn to them immediately...read more
