"We went on Shrove Tuesday lunchtime and the pub was very quiet. However they were expecting a lot of people for a large function that evening so maybe that's why there weren't many locals in. The fish was excellent and lightly cooked as we asked requested. There is a very good selection of drinks, especially real ales, on the bar and the staff are very pleasant and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this pub."

We really enjoyed our evening at The Bewicke Arms, the staff were really nice, the service was unhurried and the food was amazing and so much of it! We will definitely be coming again!

Food ok but a bit pricey for what we had. Main issue for February was it was so cold. No CH and what look like attractive fires but they need to go on a lot earlier for a comfortable lunch, or you need some fan heaters.

We enjoyed a fabulous dinner here fine dining at its best on a Saturday night. Chicken, lamb and pollock all cooked to perfection, with delicious unpretentious starters. The menu offers five or six dishes for mains and a similar number of starters. Great desserts too all meticulously prepared and presented. Old world surroundings add to the experience. Overall a brillant restaurant. Would highly recommend.
