"Yesterday was the second time I have visited and again was not disappointed. Being about 2pm the place was not too busy so we got a table straight away. The service was very good and my beef rib was beautifully cooked. The staff were friendly and came to check half way through if everything was ok. We were thanked for our service when the plates were collected and when we left. I was here on first date and glad to say it went well too so thank you ha ha x"

Been here before when in Whitley Bay on holiday . Never lets you down . Food is varied and delicious and staff are second to none .

Nice place. Was quiet when we were there, sitting outside in the sunshine. Staff friendly and food tasty. Some might say portions were small, but the price also was small so no worries there.

After living nearby for over a year, I can't believe it's taken us so long to visit The Beacon. Great food, great value and friendly staff. We certainly won't be leaving it too long before the next visit!

great food, great prices and a great atmosphere. also the staff was very helpful. I would just like to thank the staff in the beacon for helping to make my mam and papas ruby jubilee meal. we will definitely come back!

Had lovely food yesterday the steak pie was lovely with chips and little jug of gravy mmmm fish chips was nice to that my daughter had and sausage mash which my partner had and the chocolate brownie ice cream was gorgeous so over all gud meal xx

The Beacon is a large pub which is popular for dining. They have four cask beers and a good selection of other drinks. I enjoy the Sunday roast lunch. The service is good and the staff are friendly. Definitely worth booking a table for Sunday as it can get busy.

Had Sunday lunch here a few times and had no complaints. This week the beef was so tough I couldn't cut it, I was offered a steak knife, which did cut it but I couldn't chew it and left it as it was so over done. When asked if everything was alright I said I couldn't eat the meat, and they said sorry about that. Why ask if they don't do anything about a complaint
