The Bay Tree Restaurant

Needed a restaurant for a quick but good meal. Good service but large party of sportsmen made it quite noisy and put pressure on staff. However, staff friendly and food good.

The meal was delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful. It would have been nice if they had asked us how our meals were, like most restaurants do. I will definitely come back again.

I took my mum for her birthday and the service was fantastic. They made her feel very special and gave an extra glass of prosecco and chocolate chocolates for her birthday. The food was really lovely too. Would definitely recommend, staff were so attentive. Voir le carte

The food was delicious, but the main course would have been better if it was served hotter. I was hesitant to send it back as I had already started eating and didn't want my partner to see me do so. The cheesecake was delicious, but the portion size was disappointing for the price. The service was excellent.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is lacking, resembling more of a casual cafe or canteen. It is suggested that they invest in an interior designer to liven up the space, as the bland tables and chairs and lackluster decorations are unappealing. The staff, while excellent, seemed understaffed both in the restaurant and at the bar. Despite being stretched thin, they delivered exceptional service within the limitations they were facing.

Everything was fine with the exception that on the website it said that Sunday lunch was a carvery. Hidden is a little message saying Please note seasonal changes do occur without notice on the menu from time to time . We only discovered that once we were at the table. Could there not be more information on the website when booking the table? Fortunately the alternative were acceptable to the party of four but it was a bit of a let down. Voir le carte

overpriced and bad service. after looking at the menu price list I ordered what I thought was one of the cheaper options, but after 10% the bill was added my salad ended cost over £17. that was quite much too expensive. service was very bad, despite the restaurants quite quiet, the drink that I ordered with my meal, came an outstanding 25 minutes after I ordered it. I asked my bill about eating my main course. when I'm back in this opposite, I won't eat in this restaurant. there are better ways to get close.

Ive been looking at the Bay tree resturant for sometime now, as it was my partners and myself birthday i thought we should treat ourselfs so I booked this restaurant due to the menu which is on your website, when we turned up not staying inhouse) to be handed a buffet style menu or another menu which was nothing like the one online. I was very annoyed that I was not notified before turning that it's subject to the hotel valiblity that the restaurant menu may change which I was told this when we arrived). We was apogised too n got a free drink but the damage was done n won't be returning.

two main courses came with sauces, but they were both scanned. the ravioli was dried up as if it was sitting under the heating. I had asked that the aioli be kept from the starter, and this was for the chicken dish that was also missing in the sauce, although it was delicious and cooked the nice as I like it. the burger was on average. the desserts looked stylish, but surprised that the easy-care pineapple was served cold, as it had expected to be freshly cooked and therefore hot. very expensive for what was served. destined felt like a restaurant for captive overnight, instead of visiting a restaurant.
