Fantastic Sunday lunch first time been was recommended from friends glad we came lovely staff nothing to much trouble helpful and friendly

I went for Sunday lunch and was extremely disappointed. The beef was tough, the vegetables were undercooked, and they did not offer any hot drinks. The prices were also very high.

Amazing Sunday lunch yesterday, we had the beef and turkey. Cooked to perfection, great flavours, large portion size and absolutely love the revamp. Stylish, warm, rustic country chic. First time visit i have to say what a treat, wonderful atmosphere, beautiful cooked Sunday roast, very generous great value, generous starter, Sunday roast gorgeous pud all for less than £16 the service from the lovely friendly staff was on point, even though they was busy they looked after us 10/10 cannot wait to go back

Beautiful pub beautiful setting Unfortunately that’s where it ends Had Sunday lunch the beef was inedible full of gristle Fish n chips was nice but fish was tiny Burger was ok but came with pork on top which again was gristle Kids pizza came 15 minutes after we’d all been served but he wouldn’t eat it said it tasted funny We told the server who didn’t bat an eyelid took the Sunday lunch and pizza off the bill Very disappointed

We just had a wonderful Sunday dinner here, from the moment we stepped in the team were so welcoming gave you the best service you could wish for, really looked after us, the restaurant looked beautifully furnished had a lovely warm atmosphere, the food was amazing from there wonderful chef who made sure you had the best of the best, not only did the food look stunning on your plate, it was delicious, a feast for your taste buds! The restaurant had very disappointing food and service. Despite only four other people being in the restaurant, we had to wait over an hour for our food. We ordered pie, mash, and seasonal vegetables, but what we received was burnt pies, mashed potatoes, and peas. When we expressed our disappointment to the young waitress, we received no apologies, and she later admitted that she hadn't even told anyone higher up about our concerns. To make matters worse, our bill was incorrect as we were overcharged for one item.

We have been regulars at The Bay Horse, which has just undergone an extensive makeover and change of management, for a long time. Yesterday was the first day of their new Sunday Lunch menu, so we booked a table to give it a try and have absolutely no complaints whatsoever. Despite the pub being very busy with both drinkers and diners, our food arrived right on time and was the best Sunday roast I've ever eaten there. The staff and managers were keen to get feedback and to make sure there were no problems (which there weren't). My family and I visited this restaurant for Mother's Day, but we were disappointed that the free drink for moms was not offered as advertised. The lamb and beef dishes were so tough that we had trouble cutting through them. Additionally, our meals did not all arrive together, with one member waiting 12 minutes after everyone else. The fish batter was soggy, indicating that the oil may not have been hot enough. The food was barely warm, and when we brought our concerns to the staff, we were offered a free drink only after 15 minutes.
