"We initially went with family and friends for just one drink before our walk, but that walk never happened, LOL! Once we were inside—or rather outside in the beautiful garden with play equipment for the kids—we couldn't bring ourselves to leave! We ended up enjoying ourselves all afternoon with delicious food, refreshing beers, engaging conversations with the bar staff, and the kids had a wonderful time too. We'll definitely be returning! I can't praise this pub enough. The welcome was incredibly warm, the home-cooked meals were delicious (the lasagna and steak and ale pie were particularly outstanding), and the atmosphere was enhanced by the lovely people who run it. Plus, there's even a playground outside!

today to the barley mow house for Sunday dinner. fantastic meal with three choices of meat and many different veg. the staff was excellent and very friendly. I had my two-year-old grandson with me and they couldn't be better with him. many thanks to the whole team and we as a family will participate again
