Everything is just amazing. Great food, really good matching wines and the added bonus of red squirrels and a myriad of birds to watch from the dining room windows! I want to live here!

We stayed for two nights including a tasting menu on both nights, we opted for the wine paring as well. The cooking and dish presentation was of very high quality, the wine pairings were well selected, and the service was very pleasant. We really enjoyed our stay.

We called in on the off chance of booking a meal and the welcome could not have been nicer, we were visiting the area and had seen this restaurant. Although they were fully booked we left our details and they contacted us to say they had a cancellation. We had a wonderful stay, the food, service and general ambiance were all fabulous. What a delight Restaurant Cottage in the Woods was over our two night dine and stay. The 5 or 7 course tasting menu, with optional cheeses, changing each evening with each dish delivering taste, subtle flavour and texture combinations as well as a feast for the palate and eyes.
