The Art Shop Chapel

Such a lovely place very informal, really liked the art centre feel (some lovely books and cards), staff were so nice, service very good, and we had the best Welsh rarebit ever! Great place for coffee and a snack or lunch.

Delicious lunch, we had fritters, shaksuka, and the home-made cordials are delicious, coffee here always grand. Laid back bustle which was a good backdrop to our meeting, and everywhere your eye rests is pleasing. Love this place.

Art Shop and Chapel Cafe in Abergavenny is a lovely cafe that has a nice garden. I tried their Turkish eggs, which are basically like shakshuka, and their French toast. The eggs could have been cooked better, but the toast was really nice. The cafe has a nice atmosphere and is a great place to enjoy a tasty breakfast.

This venue is lovely for lunch. I chose the lettuce and lovage soup with a Perl wen and pumpkin seed scone, looked wonderful and tasted delicious. My husband had a ham and cheese toastie with sauerkraut and pickled red cabbage, rhubarb ketchup. I could tell immediately that this was going to be a good visit. Everyone moved round like they really knew what their jobs were and we were brought menus and fresh water very quickly. I can’t fault anything and am looking forward to another trip there, even though we live 90 minutes away! Thanks everyone

I always enjoy having lunch at The Chapel due to its innovative cuisine and pleasant atmosphere. However, today's service was terrible. The young waitress was prioritizing customers who arrived after us, completely disregarding our presence. Two other waitresses seemed to notice us but did not offer any assistance. As a guest, I felt unable to address the issue at the time. Although the owner is charming, I regret to say that they need to improve their service. The increased prices also mean that I will not be returning anytime soon. It's unfortunate, but it seems to be a sign of the times. Voir le carte
