"My friend had duck and I had fish of the day {sea bream}. Both were well presented and delicious. I followed up with {an obviously home made} fruit crumble. It was not as good as my mum's but would put second only to that ... but if my wife and sister are reading this I'd say 4th in line. The eponymous beer (bitter) was very quaffable. Very friendly and helpful staff but the restaurant area is a bit out of sight of the bar so, it being a popular and busy place, sometimes tricky to get attention. Recommended."

great Sunday dinner. well boiled generous portions of meat, vegetables and potatoes. more comfortable it area, but a little loud with large families on larger tables. we have been and will continue to come here.

attentive staff and really nice eating, I would prefer if there was a separate smoking area, although as we booked the garden at nice weather, but was sad to discover it was filled with smoking after only 10 minutes! it is also a small outer area, partly covered.
