First restaurant where we’ve had to ask about a wine list and pour our own glasses after the first one. The bread didn’t taste fresh, and our starters were lackluster. Our main courses were nicely flavored and well cooked, but we’ve yet to go to a restaurant here where they haven’t been. Beautiful setting, but would not recommend too many other places have impeccable service, great views, and delicious food.

Fabulous stay with an amazing view, friendly and personable staff, and the right balance of basic amenities. Rooms were comfortable and quiet. Roof top hot tub at night is as enjoyable as it gets and the beach club house was very pleasant. Plan to get a leg workout wherever you go as you are on the side of a mountain. If you are with guests who are elderly or not in good shape, Ravello (or any of the hill towns) on the coast might not be the place for you. For everyone else, it 's unbelievably beautiful and should be on your bucket list.

Lunch at the Belvedere was utterly magical. My mother is a well-traveled 96 years old, and she said this is the most beautiful restaurant she has been in, ever. The service under Luca, along with his brigade, was absolutely amazing. There was so much genuine warmth and delight in having us as guests, it made the excellent meal the most memorable experience. I urge anyone to bypass Positano and the “big” hotels La Sirenuse and San Pietro to come to beautiful and peaceful Ravello and enjoy the Belmond Hotel Caruso and it’s gorgeous terrace restaurant.

The restaurant is located on an open terrace of a large hotel. In the night in question, an unpleasantly strong, cool wind is blowing. The staff assured us that the wind would soon disappear, but not. They kindly offered us scarves, but these were inadequate against the cold wind. We asked to be moved inside, but we said this was not possible. In addition to our own discomfort, our food was quickly cold and hardly consumed. Our red wine was also spoiled by cold. An expensive evening was was wasted. PS. After informing the restaurant management of our fair, we were kindly invited to a free meal as compensation.

Dinner at Rossellinis in the Palazzo Avino Hotel was probably one of the top five meals I have ever had in my life. We came here for dinner last July with another couple and even though it has been almost a year since we came, I am still thinking about this dinner. When we checked in for our reservation we were led down to the terrace for a glass of bubbly and pre dinner appetizers.
