"Good food always remains an individual taste. For me and my family, this variant of pizza is one of the best and most delicious in the area of Kelkheim. But what makes the restaurant special is the owner and his team. Here you are not hiding somewhere in a separate kitchen, but has integrated the kitchen and the splendor of Steinofen ideally into the small, atmospheric and beautifully decorated restaurant. So the owner comes to the table personally and takes a few minutes for a little chat when it allows the utilisation. Steak also offers one of the best price/performance ratios in the environment and is better for worlds than nearby restaurants that make this dish even part of its name. Here you get something for your money and since someone seems to live an overall concept of conviction, the small details that are also important to me personally (e.g. clean and reasonably covered tables, tailored colors, an appealingly designed and above all clean menu etc. Please continue as before! We are looking forward to our next visit."

"During my visit I was served by 5 different people. Although the staff is very friendly and helpful there was no coorddination amongst them about who is doing what, something I observed at all the other tables as well. Due to this lack of coordination I had to wait about 1 hour until my food was served. I had to ask 3 different people for the invoice, each of them telling me they would be right back which did not happen, so it took another 15 minutes just to get the invoice.Food was good and nicely presented."

"a moderate evening in the upper gatronomy. a table for people was so covered that the place was behind an open door and was not at all fitable, it was then covered only after notice. a carpaccio, announced with fresh truffles, contained a hauch of truffle dust without a single spahn of truffle planer. in the main course, announced as a lame with a goose, then there was no gänseleber at all. it was delivered to demand after the end of the meal, after the chef had witnessed himself with stochern on the teller of whose lack was missing. the vaccination status, etc., was overpuffed and the personal interpreted at least partially the mouth-covering more than generous. even if the ambiente was very nice and the service tried, there is no second time for us."

"we have been eating several times in the la vida. Mostly due to lack of direct alternatives in the environment. the first impression has been confirmed continuously. the restaurant itself is atmospheric and cozy, as the tables are quite apart. a continuous concept is not recognizable, a mix of Spanish-Portuguese food and typical German food is offered. you should choose a direction and consistently go through it. the service is in order, we have experienced warmer, friendly and more attentive customer orientation in the direct surrounding area. unfortunately, the kitchen and thus the price/performance ratio also reflect this. the foods (especially the tapas) are often boiled and tastefully as well as visually little authentic, sometimes only warmed and not freshly prepared. a cheese plate made of cheese in slices (from the super market), without arrangement like oliven etc. The salads are unfortunately also arranged little nicely and only provided with a few clecksen dressing - without any spices. when then the noodles were reached to the main course (cold meat, unfortunately too strongly heated and therefore tough) only when the food was already cold again, the disappointment was complete. another chance we will give to the la vida only if all the alternatives in the surrounding have closed, the price/performance ratio is currently not justified. with a little more effort (the impression is created, one rests on the location advantage in falkenstein) and a clear gastronomic concept with a stringent offer you could create an appealing locality."

"The atmosphere inside this restaurant is really cosy and inviting. The four is very good, with only a couple of small comments to make.... main course was perfect, dessert was very good, but the appetisers were "interesting"... 1 appetiser for example was: Burrata with Tomato Sugo". The burrata was excellent, but the tomato sugo was way, way too much. It was extremely rich and powerfully flavoured, which is OK, but then it should be served differently. It came in a bowl with the burrata in the middle... way too much of the sugo and therefore too overpowering for the burrata. It would have been better served on a flat plate with a very, very thin layer of sugo under the burrata. Another appetiser was: grilled calamari on salad. The calamari itself was excellent, but the salad contained a lot avocado and this just did not match flavour-wise. In the case of the appetisers I have a feeling the kitchen was trying to be too creative without ever having sat down, eaten and critiqued their own creation before letting it loose on their customers. So other than that, the staff were friendly and helpful. The wine choice (and recommendations) was good."
