Fantastic succulent Sirloin Steak with fiery Peppercorn Sauce MMMMMMMMMMM with lovely crispy thick cut chips, grilled tomato sautéed mushrooms and a salad garnish.

we had a fabulous meal here. the service, steak and salatable were all exceptional. would recommend to anyone to visit the city. fabulous English speaking and English menus also. stained toilets. five stars. wonderful experience. many thanks.

very good place to go when they love bark meat, it comes from Argentina. the waiter welcome them very well, even if they don't speak German. price is correct: 25€/pers for a meat sauce salat bar softdrink. they can. choose the size of their portion. go taste yourself! Voir le carte

Lot of different meats, really good meats. You can choose also side dishes if you dont want to rise/potatoes. Very good value for money and they accept all european cards (like Mastercard, debit, visa). They speak really good english also. Terrace is so nice in...the summertime.

We were in Cologne (from the UK) and some German friends took us here for lunch. It's very cosy inside and beautifully decorated for Christmas. Service was excellent but the highlight was our steaks, 200g of prime fillet so delicious and tender and cooked to...perfection. It's a real shame we cannot get Argentinian steak in the UK as it really is the best. Try some and you won't be disappointed.

while I went through Germany to business, I had the opportunity to spend a night in the city. I have trip advisor (as I always do) checked for the best restaurants in the opposite. el rancho has been highly rated in all dimensions and a short walk from my hotel. it lived up to its high rank with great old world ambiente, great service and excellent eating. the ochsentail soup was tasty, the steak was excellent and the complementary salatbar was a great start to eat. highly recommended for an individual, couple, family or small business group. The staff was very friendly and the food was super delicious. At our neighboring table there was another liquor or coffee offered to the house, unfortunately without others in this corner. I don't think I'm good for anyone, or you should leave it even if it's regular customers. I didn't control the bill, I noticed at home that I had more on it. Don't come forward. Introducing into a book that everyone had in my hand, I did not find hygienic now. We also felt that not everyone had to register, as many as there were and were only 4 in the evening.

a perfectly prepared steak is not necessarily the most difficult to prepare, but in many restaurants it still seems difficult. I ordered a medium-sized rump steak with fritten in el rancho and was not disappointed. the steak was so delicate that it was cut through like butter and was perfectly seasoned. the one disappointment were the pommes that were like something from the frozen food department in food business. I had hoped and expected something, thick homemade pommes, but no such luck. but between a well filled salatable, fresh brot served before eating and efficient staff, a visit in el rancho should like most steak lovers.

Very nice steakes in different dimensions on size are avasilable and all in good taste. The family owned restaurant get´s their meat from Argentina imported, so it migth be good quality but also the preparaten of the steak itself makes the tast somethimes unbelievable. Service...is helfull and you can get also an english menu cart which is not very often to find! Have been there in the past weeks often as of business trip with japanese people. Even offering something else they always took steak in diverent preparation and they loved them.
