The service at this restaurant is fantastic, with extremely friendly staff and delicious food at very affordable prices. I was thrilled that they welcomed my dog with open arms.

Absolutely superb. It’s been completely refurbished and I’ll definitely be bringing the littlen’s along for some lunch. My sandwich was cooked perfectly, lovely service, good price and a lovely setting.

I've eaten a few times at the star cafe with family and friends the food s been freshly cooked and delicious everytime unlike a lot of cafes the chips weren't frozen and there is a good Verity of meals not just traditional Portion sizes are good plenty of food and prices are very reasonable and friendly service Voir le carte

I recently visited the 'Country Kitchen' after it reopened and had an incredible experience. There were so many food options at an affordable price, and everything was delicious! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff were extremely friendly. I will definitely be returning in the future. Thank you to the staff for such a positive experience.

Eccleshall is a delightful small town and well worth a visit.This cafe took over from two ladies on the condition they kept it traditionally English Fayre. Tremendous choice and beautifully prepared food.During LOCKDOWN they do ho me deliveries for free and the Turkish staff are brilliant.I had Chilli and my wife scampi. Friendly in the extreme so do visit this amazing cafe in this sumptuous small town.

First time I had visited the Star Cafe for around 18 months but once again found myself on business in the area. Plenty of parking on-street outside the cafe, friendly welcome and service, North Staffs Breakfast was superb as always. It was a warm day so it was pleasant to sit and watch the world go by in a shady breeze before hitting the madness of the M6 to get home! We use the star cafe frequently, both to eat in and for takeaways, and we have done for 20 years! The service is always friendly and welcoming, and nothing is too much trouble, they will cater for any variation of their menu items, the food is always hot and tasty( and never greasy) I am a pescatarian and sometimes it can be hard to find choices, at the Star Cafe I am spoilt for choice. Their breakfasts are to die for and I love their salads and omlettes. If we ever have to go somewhere else on a Saturday lunch time, I always compare it , and it's never as good. Our group of cyclists has been frequenting the Star Cafe and various other eateries on our rides for years. Previously known as a greasy spoon cafe, Star Cafe always had friendly staff, delicious food, and reasonable prices. The cafe used to be bustling with customers, making it difficult for our group of nine to find a table. However, after being closed for several months and under new ownership, we recently visited and were disappointed to find that it is still a greasy spoon cafe, but now with higher prices and lower quality food. As a postman I sometimes work in Eccleshall and have delivered post here before, but have never eaten there. This past weekend I decided that I'd go over for breakfast with my partner to see what it was about. She had a normal sized breakfast, whilst me being me, I had the Ultimate Breakfast (pictured). The food was cooked to perfection, the tea and coffee was spot on, and we will definitely be back here soon. The cafe doesn't look like anything special from the outside, and inside it is warm and welcoming, with a higher level of furnishing than I would expect in an establishment like this.
