"After our tribal restaurant in Dietzenbach has ceased to exist, we are still looking for another restaurant where good food is served and which could become our tribal restaurant. It shouldn't be too far away. Now in February 2016, test dinners were announced in the Lion in Ober-Roden, where I was last a few decades ago (a few decades) and was a guest. About a week before we announced that we would book a table for 4 people for a Sunday afternoon. As it turned out, this was also appropriate. Upon arrival we were greeted by the son of the house, who also learned the hotel and restaurant businessman and on the table we respected. There was a pleasant conversation and it was immediately asked for the drinks. On the recommendation of the junior cook, a bottle of Franconian red wine ACOLON from the armchair winery at €21.50 and a bottle of mineral water at €4.20 and for me as a driver a Köstritzer Schwarzbier was ordered at €2.20. The drinks were delivered quickly during the menu. After everything was agreed, the following was ordered: 1 times small Markklößschensuppe zu 3.60 € 2 times additional salad at 3.50 € 2 times Rumpsteak 200gr. with onion sauce and roast potatoes for 19,50 € 1 times pork melodies in cream sauce with mushrooms and croquettes at 14,50 € 1 times Mailänder Schnitzel (2 pieces) with parmesan cheese, in tomato sauce, with roasts for 10,00 €. There were desserts for the delicacies: 1 times chocolate sufflé with vanilla ice cream at 6.50 € 1 times baked vanilla ice cream at 4.50 € and at the end 3 times espresso at 1.90 € and now for the rating: The wine is excellent, very harmonious with a bright Burgundy taste and cherry aroma. Very comfortable and with not too much acidity, as sometimes happens with the Frankenwein. The presupposition was ok, but not stunning, the supplement salads OK. The Rumpsteaks delicate, juicy and beautiful medium dressed. The sauces are delicious and the roasted potatoes are nice with bacon and onions. The pork medals (3 pieces) with the cream sauce excellent in taste. A medallion, in my dear wife's opinion, was a little firm. She couldn't do it very well, and the rest was full to take. The two Mailänderschnitzel for me were first-class, the sauce woke in taste. The two nightstands (the latter were not on the map) were fine. The service was beautiful and attentive, without being intrusive. The ambience is kept in warm brown tones and cozy. For more information, see the restaurant's homepage. The price-performance ratio is absolutely consistent. Beer garden is available, as in the upper floor a large room for installation. All in all, the restaurant can be fully recommended. It could be our main restaurant, let's see."
