"a beautifuly quaint tea room nestled in the heart of an adylic village the decore seemed to be very navyesk with various pictures of vessles and service personel hats adorning the light grey walls we were showed to a window seat and were given menus after roughly 10 mins a verry smiley and helpful member of staff took our order a latte a coke and an afternoon tea for 2 while we waited for our food and drink to arive we had the chance to soak up the true village atmosphere it was fairly busy day so the all the staff were occupied taking care of the other customers there were old tins placed on the clean window sills possibly a nod to the history of the village and little jars of sugar cubes on the spotless tables with napkins and cutlery tidily placed in square wooden containers our drinks arrived with the customary foam art on the latte and a glass bottle of coke with a glass and some ice which was a pleasent surprise our food then arrived a plate of sandwiches ham cheese and home made coleslaw, egg mayo and cress and tuna mayo that were all delicious made with freash bread that tasted home baked with lots of filling in all the sandwiches what i would call door step sandwiches the second plate had our 2 fruit scones with butter they ran out of clotted cream and a small pot of strawberry jam each the scones were incredibly delicious crumbly yet spongy the texture blew my mind the last plate carried our 2 slices of cake a victoria sponge and a slice of banana loaf, my banana loaf was perfect moist but not to stodgy and so flavourful on the whole it was a plesent expereince with amazing polite staff and incredible food which was very well presented i would and will definately reccomend to anyone looking for ideas for eating out i will definately be going back for the ploughmans A"
