"Sospan Fach is a beautiful little cafe full of Welsh charm. Avril her team give such a warm welcome and a there's a fantastic menu of hot and cold food to choose from (I've sampled their perfect comfort food day treat cheese potato pie and today their chicken club with crispy bacon, both of which I'd highly recommend! Their homemade elderflower cordial is unmatched by supermarket brought stuff and is a must have for refreshment. It is also available to buy bottled from the cafe along with some tasty jams chutneys. Unfortunately I have not yet been able to try the gorgeous looking cakes as I've filled up on lunch but will be making a dedicated cake and coffee trip to do so soon!"

Service is good with friendly staff. No parking. Food is home cooked, always very tasty. My first choice when in town.

Popped in here for a quick breakfast this morning coffee, toast and marmalade. Their homemade marmalade is brilliant. I'll have to find the time to go back for more!

I have visited this restaurant numerous times and the food has always been absolutely delicious. I will definitely be returning in the future as I cannot fault the food, staff, or location.

Everything we could see was home made. We had the veggie breakfast which came with toast and marmalade. Well presented and large mug of strong milky coffee yummy. Lovely atmosphere and homely staff.

I had the fortune to attend the Lampeter Beer Festival both this year and last. The event is a non-CAMRA beer festival organised by the Lampeter Round Table. The event is in its third year (I missed the inaugural one). Travelled up by the Traws...

• very welcoming • wiling to exchange choices of extras in a full breakfast. • friendly staff • lovely presentation • my husband is a builder so recommending the full breakfast is a good recommendation. • I had a bacon sandwich, which was lovely and crispy with side salad. • well worth a visit .

Mum late mum and her friends would always duck out of the rain into Sosban Fach. It's very tidy and comforting to be there. Popped back recently with my kids and big sister, it was so welcoming and there's lots to cater for little people including their mega milk shakes! Oh my word my two little lads were (almost) speechless on the sight of them. Great to be back and whilst many cafe's and coffee shops have gone by the way this one still stands out and there's a good reason for that. It's proper welsh and lovely.

Went in just before they shut one time with my partner. I asked for two small coffees, on hindsight I should have been more careful. The first warning to my experience was the old lady steadily burning my milk to within an inch of common decency. What I got, in the end, was a milky coffee with boiling burnt milk, and then got charged over £5 for it. I was so angry I could barely talk and my partner hurried me out of the place before I could say anything. The coffee was completely tasteless, and we emptied both into the nearest bush on the uni campus. My wallet still stings to this day.An absolute joke!

"Great food and been there many times. As a party of 7, with 3 children under 6 years, thought best to book a table. Told on the phone that they don 't take bookings. Arrived early and found a large table, and just as the other 6 were arriving I was told the table was booked! If I 'd known I would have found another cafe. As it was we waited ages for a table with small children milling around, complete with dirty looks from staff. Disappointing. Some suggestions on how you could have dealt with the situation better: 1. Let us stay on the table until another table was ready, as the party for the reserved table did not turn up for over half an hour. 2. Apologise that the table was not clearly marked as reserved. There was a bottle that I noticed much later, where 'reserved ' was written on only one side, which faced the kitchen. 3. The waiter should have mentioned the reservation rather giving me menus and taking a coffee order while I waited. 4. The waiters (yes several, I must have looked like trouble) who turfed me off the table just as my family were arriving could have explained why the table was reserved when i had been unable to reserve a table because, as you said on the phone, you 'don 't take reservations '. You replied that it was reserved for a 'private party ' and when I asked how that differed from a table booking, you kept repeating the words 'private party '. I was none the wiser. 5. An apology would have gone a long way rather than treating me as a difficult customer. 6. You made me feel totally unwelcome at your restaurant. 7. Well done! Your service, or rather the lack of it, has lost a formerly loyal customer. Quite frankly I 'd rather eat at MacDonalds, at least they 're polite to their customers.
