"I booked the afternoon tea online without realizing that it would be served in a different cafe near the spa and swimming facilities, not the Waterford restaurant. However, when we arrived, we were allowed to sit in the 'wedding venue' portion of the hotel, where we had gotten married. It was a special touch that made my husband's birthday celebration even more memorable, as we hadn't been back to the venue since our wedding in 2019. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a great visit, and we really appreciated their efforts. While the food was just okay and a bit overpriced, the exceptional service more than made up for it."

The hotel exterior is stunning. However, the cafe inside gives off a "Butlins" vibe, which wasn't quite what I was expecting. The staff seemed a bit aloof upon our arrival, but one waiter stood out for their exceptional service.

This hotel's afternoon tea is absolutely terrible. The tea we received looked nothing like the pictures on the app or the hotel's website. The scones were stale and bought from a shop. The cake was cut into tiny portions, and we had to share one small pot of clotted cream between five people. We were very disappointed, as we were hoping to treat my mother-in-law.

I booked the afternoon tea online, I didn't realize it was not in the Waterford restaurant, but in the other café at the spa and swimming facilities. We married at the hotel and after the request we were allowed to sit in the hotel's "wedding place". This was as friendly and trustworthy as my husband's birthday made a little more special, as we haven't returned to the venue since our wedding in 2019. The staff went beyond and beyond to make sure that we had a good visit, so they can't blame. The food was fine, wouldn't say it was worth the price tag, but the service was on it.

"we found booked for a Tuesday night. the menu is a taste amplifier of 4, 6 or 8 curses. the 6 cursor was exceptional and everyone was unknown at the beginning. the coworkers explained every cure arrived at him, and they were very knowledgeable and helpful. a relaxed environment with a lot of time between every delightful cure. a wee pairing is offered, although we decided to wee through the glass. every cursor was a taste experience on itself. the small things like the beautiful plates and the presentation of the cutlery added to the quality of the setting. the overall experience was exceptional. david wykes and his team offer the best food we ever had in a fish restaurant. definitiw a five-star experience"

"really came to a laune here. was very happy with absolutely everything! the personal was amazing, polite, polite and I will say it again. simply amazing! they go over and over every level well-trained staff I've ever met. I lived in hongkong for 14 years and often visited Thailand. this is the best authentic Thai cuisine that I had since the last visit in Thailand. to come back in any case!"

"We LOVED this charming little cafe on the front with views of the boats in the harbour and out to sea. Well worth the short walk away from the high street (and introduces you to a quirky little cobbled shopping area it would be a shame to miss). There were several vegan options on the brunch lunch menu and a good selection of vegan cakes as well. All drinks had vegan options. We had avocado and hummus on sourdough toast, granola with fresh fruit, coffees and a coconut babyccino. All delicious. Disappointed that there was no alternative yoghurt for the granola vegan option. The cafe is quite small and there were a couple of high chairs in there but not a great deal of space for pram parking or multiple kids. Fortunately our LO was o a great mood so we had a lovely time but I'd be careful about taking him there again. Highly recommend for a kid-free vegan brunch. No toilets."

"badly started when the menus we were given no similarity to what published on their website as an example menu that traveled 200 miles to be there was what we posted our booking on! what we ordered and arrived...was also very bad in terms of the total proportions of sizes, quality of food and its presentation, which was obviously not the one of the right cooks. service was bad, we had to pour both our water and wine, no brot or bun at all, but especially with suppe and crabs. all small portions and genrally not enough food. we also saw other diners in the restaurant as impressing with their appetizers and meal after that we gave up and decided not to throw more good money after bad deserts and coffees, instead of driving to the local kfc to eat something. we noticed how disappointed we were with the owners on the way, but there were answers very well tried. will not have been coming back or going back there"

"This was wonderful. There is no doubt I was satisfied. Food was great , service great, good experience all round. However, and I am bringing out the inner critic in me here, there are some bits worth mentioning. This was a lot of money; £150pp. So, for that, you expect a lot. The food was undoubtedly very nice and well considered. The flavours were wonderful. The presentation interesting (albeit a little style over substance at some points why butter is served on a stone I don’t know). We had the five courses with wine. And I couldn’t fault the flavour of either. So now comes to the ‘but’: 1. For that price, it would have been nice for the chef to have shown their face at some point during the proceedings. 2. The pace between course was slightly faster than I would have liked but that is a personal preference. 3. Not enough butter for the bread. 4. It is a small and close environment, with no soft furnishings, so the sound echoed a little. That would be fine (as it was small) but we had a drunk and rowdy table near by and fun as that is it was loud for us. 5. I wanted more story; where did the food come from, who was the chef, why here and now. Notwithstanding that all picky and un necessary excellent food/ excellent experience/ excellent evening.
