absolutely fantastic moods and service. eating is great, good quality, size and options price is above the standard for Indian cuisine, but the dishes are better, so fair. I would definitely recommend it

The atmosphere of the restaurant was fantastic, however, I was disappointed with the food quality as it was just average and quite expensive. The lamb kebabs were not juicy and tender, and the lemon cheesecake was dry. Despite hearing positive reviews, my expectations were not met. Voir le carte

The atmosphere and decor of the restaurant are beautiful. However, the service was not as good as we had hoped for, as some of our food items did not arrive with the rest and we had to ask for them again. I also think the prices are too high for the portion size and quality of the food. Overall, the experience was good but not fantastic.

Wow! Everything at this restaurant was excellent, except for the fact that the server forgot to take my main course order. The food was absolutely delicious, with an added touch of drama and excitement in the presentation of the coconut curry and gold leaf. I particularly enjoyed the cocktails. The Indian cuisine was top-notch and the restaurant had a beautiful atmosphere.

This was the best restaurant I visited during my solo tour of London. The interior decor was fantastic and the DJ's music created a lively atmosphere. The food and desserts were exceptional - the chicken biryani was delicious and the dessert was amazing. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, with all the waiters and waitresses being well-trained and always smiling. The chef did a fantastic job. I didn't put any words the first time so wanted to edit my review. This place was absolutely fantastic. I was born in India, and love Indian food and obviously can tell between authentic and not. This place was recommended by my American born co-worker and I was skeptical. I have to say though this place was amazing. Food was amazing, Payal was such a welcoming, warm host. I will be back there when I visit London again, or maybe you guys can open up a branch in Washington DC area. :

1947 London is definitely one of the best restaurants I have visited. The service was exceptional, with the manager and other staff constantly checking on us and engaging in conversation. It felt like we were being well taken care of. The restaurant interior has a really cool vibe. Our table was positioned right in front of the kitchen, giving us a glimpse of how the food was prepared. The wait for dinner was not long, and the food was absolutely incredible. My favorite dish was the Okra curry. I highly recommend trying it with some butter naan, as it was the best I have ever tasted. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant. I give it a 5 out of 5 stars!

To be very honest, my very first contact with the restaurant wasn't great, as I was refused the right to use the £25 that they took from my bank account (for an apparent and in effect no show booking to use against my bill when I was to eventually make a booking which left quite a bad taste in my mouth, as the person who I had been on the phone with lacked customer service skills and skill of negotiation and tact. I was close to taking it up with my bank but didn't need to in the end. Fast forward to manager emailing me to invite me to come and dine and for this to be used against my bill (the very thing I was trying to discuss and arrange with the person on the phone Voir le carte
