"I have eaten here on a number of occasions, and the fact that I have gone back probably tells you all you need to know, but I shall, nevertheless, add a few thoughts. This restaurant is situated on the top floor of the Baltic Art Gallery so, if you like artistic installations (I don 't) you can combine culinary and cultural pleasures. The food is good value for money and always of a high standard; you would pay much more for these sorts of dishes in London. The menu is slightly limited but, having said that, offers a good choice. The staff are friendly and helpful to an extraordinary degree The views from the dining area on a long summer 's evening over the Tyne and one of Britain 's finest cities is unforgettable. So, do I entertain any reservations? Well, yes, but it 's not one by any means restricted to the Baltic 6, and it is the general level of noise that diners now generate. Have we forgotten how to conduct ourselves in public? Now although, let me be clear, this problem is not unique to the Baltic 6 it is one not helped by the abundance of 'hard ' surfaces that act as something of an echo chamber. A few soft furnishings, drapes or similar might help. Just a thought if the management read this."

Beautiful food, three courses and each of them amazing. Great service as usual. Friendly, professional and not instructive.

We enjoyed a lovely meal here the food was excellent and the service was also outstanding. Our waitress recommended a lovely Pinot Grigio which totally complimented the food.

We visited for lunch over Christmas and were appalled to see what appeared to be a manager pacing around quite clearly out of his face on drugs. Blonde haired manager in a suit. Disappointed!!

The restaurant was fantastic and provided a delightful dining experience. We were fortunate to have a beautiful view, and even though the weather wasn't ideal, the city lights were mesmerizing to observe. Voir le carte

I ate here with my boyfriend for his birthday meal. We had the sharing platter for starter which came with different meats and foccacia bread and was beautifully presented. I had the monkfish for main which was delightful. I liked the atmosphere and the windows overlooking the quayside created a special ambience. The staff were were attentive with the drinks and my partner enjoyed a complimentary petit fours dessert for his birthday,

My partner and I enjoyed a night away from the kids at 6 at the Baltic and we are thrilled with our choice. The food was fantastic, with interesting flavors and perfectly cooked dishes. I had the Lamb, which was delicious, and Mrs. D tried the Cod and said it was the best she had ever tasted. The desserts were excellent and they had a good selection of wines. We will definitely be returning here for future celebrations. Keep up the great work, team!

Roof top restaurant on top of the Baltic gallery in Newcastle/ Gateshead. We had the early evening menu which was excellent value at £20 for two courses. Food was of a high standard. The service was attentive but not intrusive. I have a food intolerance and I was presented with a menu where the dishes that contained that ingredient had been clearly identified for me. I really appreciated the care that had been taken. It's a small restaurant so I would recommend booking in advance. Overall an excellent experience. Voir le carte

I brought my niece to this restaurant for her 50th birthday. The food was excellent, but the portions were small, which made it pricey. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable about the menu. The restaurant was not very busy and the temperature was quite cold. There were fan heaters scattered around, and I had to adjust one to keep warm. I struggled with heights, so the glass elevator on the outside of the building was not ideal for me. I had to use the accessible restroom because I couldn't handle the main restroom with its large glass wall. The staff kindly escorted me down in the interior service elevator to exit. Due to my fear of heights, I don't think I will be returning.

This restaurant has fantastic views across the city, particularly at night. Such a great location makes the experience worth it without being served delicious food. Portions are small but full of flavour which has clearly been prioritised. I had three vegan courses which were lovely; flaxseed crackers with sweet beetroot; grilled mushrooms and chicory with loads of spices in a marinade which I combined with a side of rosemary potatoes (very yummy). The chocolate mousse with raspberries, pistachios and cinder toffee actually belongs in heaven it was so good. All our party loved the food and the wine was reportedly good. Service was quite quick but and neither fast or slow. The people were ver...

"The place seems unprofessionally run. The staff all look like they could do with a bath. No overalls are worn and their clothes are all of the type that many would wear to lounge around the house in . Several have longer hair and beards but don’t wear any kitchen p.p.e. The decor is shabby and I wondered what kind of hygiene rating they would have. Although not busy, the staff seemed to be disorganised, falling over eachother and lacking in training. They seemed to handle the food in an inexperienced, clumsy fashion. The only tool I saw being used was a pizza peel for taking the pizza in and out of the oven. On all other occasions the food was handled. I didn’t notice any hand washing or alcohol gel in evidence. The menu is quite limited and uninspiring. 2 of the 6 pizza choices include chicken which Italians would argue is definite no no! All pizzas are reheated to order which eliminates the possibility of customisation. I don’t believe the restaurant would stand out in many European countries, as pizza in general is of a much higher standard than that in the UK. In spite of the above, The basic pizza is excellent in taste (even though it is all re-heated). And for this reason it is worth a visit. Compared to other uk pizza restaurants which are typically serving absolute garbage, the food is way out in front. If you can tolerate the negatives I’m sure you won’t be disappointed with the pizza. However with a bit of effort, this place could be transformed into something truly amazing."
