"The food was beautifully presented, as always. Our starter arrived at the right time, but we experienced a nearly 25-minute wait for our main course, and no explanation was given for the delay. Larger tables of four were served their starters, mains, and desserts after we had our starter but before we received our main dish. We didn’t receive any updates during this time. While the restaurant was busy (which is great for them given the current climate), there were moments when social distancing wasn’t maintained, making it feel a bit cramped. I will return because I enjoy the restaurant and the food, but it's clear that some improvements are needed to ensure that the focus on profit doesn’t compromise good service, as well as the safety and comfort of both staff and customers."

"Before it was a trend Ian Brown was all about food provenance and seasonality. He's so slick at it now that you could take it for granted. If you want to eat fresh, Scottish food, cooked to order for you by an experienced chef who is personally there on the tools here is the place. "Ate here on two occasions over the past month. Best thing probably the coffee which comes with nice tablet. For brunch I had a roll and Square sausage which was ok although sausage slightly burnt. My partner enjoyed her avacado toast dish. On another occasion we probably made a bad choice of starter when we picked focaccia with cheese. This was a lot of eating and a bit too much for us to eat. For my main I had tagliatelle with beef. The pasta was ok but some of the beef was a bit tough and actually tasted like a peparami! I will probably eat there again although I will be a bit more cautious when I choose my food."

"Great food and a warm welcome from Mark and his team awaits. Been several times, be it as a family, for ‘date nights’ with the good lady, or with a large group of colleagues for a night out. If you are nearby, take the chance. You won’t be disappointed! Top tip, thumb your nose at the diet for an evening and order the Stracetti as a side. Maybe get an Espresso Martini to reward yourself too."

"10 minutes early for our booking, but were shown directly on our table. our server saray was excellent. they looked after what we said and even picked up, was our first anniversary, which surprised us with a happy jubilee sign with our deserts. the food was excellent. have no reservations, miller carter in newton mearns for a delicious steak in a beautiful environment with attentive no obtrusive staff"
