"I popped into the Seven Stars Pub in Holborn the other day, a place that claims to go back to 1602, but from what I’ve read, the actual building is more like late 1680s with some Victorian updates, according to Historic England. Still, it’s got serious history, having survived the Great Fire of 1666. Walking in, I was surprised—it doesn’t feel like your typical English pub at all. It’s more like some charming little bistro you’d stumble across in rural France, with this cozy, rustic charm that’s hard to pin down. The resident cat, General, was a proper highlight, just chilling and giving the place extra character. I ordered a pint of the general (a beer named after the cat), and the service was fine—nothing warm or special, but they got me sorted without any fuss. Overall, it was a decent visit, and the mix of deep history and that quirky, un-pub-like vibe makes it worth a look if you’re in the area. Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4"

I came to this restaurant primarily to see the cat, but he was hiding upstairs somewhere. Oh well, that's cats for you.

A truly terrific little boozer tucked quietly behind the impressive Royal Courts of Justice (so when it's sunny expect to see numerous barrister-types stood

The restaurant has limited seating options, with a small bar area and a few tables topped with green and white checkered tablecloths. It is a tight space, not ideal for those looking for more room. Despite its size, I anticipated a cozier atmosphere. Voir le carte

One of the oldest pubs in London, right behind the Royal Courts of Justice. Your food is absolutely amazing, excellent even. You can close your eyes and go wrong on the board-cant. Eating changes all the time. Dog friendly and open 7 days a week. One of my favorite places in town

It's a funny little London pub with all the same kind of characters you'd expect. Funny old block who tries it on with all the women. Loads of people working in law from the area. It's next to a wig shop actually. The food looked really good. And it was nice. Best of all THERE IS A PUB CAT THAT WEARS A RUFF Atmosphere: 5

"The Fond Stars," which is celebrating its first year in business, is a cozy little spot that exudes a neighborhood pub vibe. With a bit more upscale atmosphere than your average pub, this place makes you feel right at home every evening. The dishes are delicious and well-prepared. Now let's talk about the beer selection at this establishment; Voir le carte

Stumbled on this place on a walk around Lincoln’s Inn. Great atmosphere and decor, the kind you rarely find these days. Full of soul and character, nice ales on tap, and good hot food had a delicious prawn pillau. Ended up staying for a few rounds, called friends who joined us. Was a real treat. Lucky lawyers who have it as their local! Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The pub has a good vibe and good beers, foods look nice, but unfortunately when we came, when the previous customers left, it took a while for someone came to clean the plates on the table; we asked for menu, and which was fine that we took pictures for the menu on the wall, but we sat there almost 30 minutes that no one came to ask any orders, and it was obvious that they were busy so that they didn't want us to stay for having dinner here, in the end we move to another pub in the street corner. I could see the server peeked us sometimes then ignored us. It was a shame that I heard about the good reputation of foods here but the service was terrible. I envy that the previous customer had fo...
