"Good food always remains an individual taste. For me and my family, this variant of pizza is one of the best and most delicious in the area of Kelkheim. But what makes the restaurant special is the owner and his team. Here you are not hiding somewhere in a separate kitchen, but has integrated the kitchen and the splendor of Steinofen ideally into the small, atmospheric and beautifully decorated restaurant. So the owner comes to the table personally and takes a few minutes for a little chat when it allows the utilisation. Steak also offers one of the best price/performance ratios in the environment and is better for worlds than nearby restaurants that make this dish even part of its name. Here you get something for your money and since someone seems to live an overall concept of conviction, the small details that are also important to me personally (e.g. clean and reasonably covered tables, tailored colors, an appealingly designed and above all clean menu etc. Please continue as before! We are looking forward to our next visit."

"while I sit and write this review I am absolutely stunned, how shocking rude the service was. abruptly at the point of disrespect. Do you want to know why we deserve such a treatment? it makes sense why the majority of profit seems to come from takeaways who want to set up with such a dirt service. better to order and eat at home. we will not be back and that will not be a place we will recommend to our well known. shocking"

"Went there for dinner. Food was average, but level of service is so awful that i have to write about it: receptionist greets with „Buona Sera“ but when i responded in Italian that i have a reservation, she admitted she doesn’t speak Italian ...other waiters instead don’t speak a word of German after 10 minutes finally a junior ? waiter came to take our drink order; he wasn’t allowed to take the food order 10 minutes later the senior ? waiter took our food order. Either he has the attention span of a 2 year old or he’s just useless: 20 minutes later they brought 3 out of 4 dishes; they had forgotten a child’s pasta they food i ordered was incomplete too after dinner we asked for two espressos and the check; they never brought the check after reminding them 3 times we finally got the check from the senior ? waiter; they never checked back we simply walked out; the junior ? waiter saw us walk out, looked into the other direction and walked off, instead of thanking us for paying this awful place a visit! If that’s how they operate, they’ll be out of business within 12 months!"

"You can get a good steak almost anywhere these days and cooking one is not an art. Buy good meat and you will probably be able to do it yourself. So let's get down to what really makes an impression. The service here is terrible,...it took absolutely ages even to get a menu and getting served was worse than having teeth pulled. My wife and I went here with friends two couples at the recommendation of one of the other couples. As mentioned in other reviews the view is fantastic, where else could you have such scenery outside of a safari? After the long wait the waiter finally asked what we would like to drink before attempting to leave with only 4 of the 6 drinks being ordered. We had to call him back three times. They seem to have a very arrogant attitude in the service department and when questioned about cooking methods or if the order had been understood (we asked to have separate bills for each couple) the response was that of someone who had just stepped in something nasty. After ordering more drinks whilst waiting for the food (any food) to arrive we ended up with a table full of glasses, mostly empty. It was only when the head waiter came and took one look at our table, that he immediately removed about 10 glasses and two empty water bottles. So I ought to mention the food, like I said it is easy to cook steak but I don't really think they got it right, my steak, ordered medium, was a little too well done and burnt on the outside, my wifes caesers salad with chicken was very poor and the chicken was burnt, dry and had a sour taste. The others said their food was good but two of the orders were mixed up and despite asking the waitress who brought the food if the distribution was correct the error still occurred. On the whole, the food is not bad, but for the price I have to say there are many better restaurants to be visited. The portions are not bad but one could expect more for the price. The service was generally very slow and the waiting staff very uninterested. So to the bill, as I mentioned earlier we asked for separate bills per couple, so we were surprised to see one bill, which meant restating what we had ordered (per couple) and a long wait until the individual bills arrived, and guess what they were wrong, fortunately only to the amount of a bottle of water and a side dish being on the wrong bill, but never the less wrong. The comment in the bold print and largest character set made me laugh THE TIP IS NOT INCLUDED. Really in bold type, capital letters and a larger font than everything else on the bill. I rounded my tip out quite nicely 0 Euros for zero service. I had heard much about this place and it has been on my to do list for some time. However, it is not a place I would recommend or revisit, there are too many pleasurable places waiting to be discovered."

"Wir sind Stammgäste in diesem Lokal und schätzen es sehr, dass der Chef wirklich alle Gerichte aus dem angelieferten Fleisch nach eigenen Rezepten und vor allem selbst zubereitet. In der Woche gibt es eine Karte mit wechselnden Tagesgerichten und sonntags sind die Rouladen oder der Gulasch Weltklasse. Gestern hatten wir Kassler mit Sauerkraut, Rumsteaks mit Zwiebeln und Kräuterbutter und die Frikadelle, mit Beilagensalaten und Bratkartoffeln. Dazu Bier vom Faß, was will man mehr? Die Bedienung ist zuvorkommend, flott und nie um einen guten Spruch verlegen. P.S. Die selbst gemachte Sülze oder die Blut-/Leberwürste sind auch Spitze! Bitte weiter so und vielen Dank für den schönen Abend."
