Excellent food and service.Hotel was a letdown,most definitely in need of a total refurb.Lovely building that could be stunning. but was redeemed by the restaurant

This lovely privately run hotel offers lots of choice for food or meetings or parties or weddings all served with friendly staff and good food and drinks. Highly recommended.

Meeting here from time to time with a group of friends we are never disappointed with the service or food whether from a set menu or a la carte. It is in a convenient location and you are well looked after by staff. Voir le carte

A small menu selection which meant everything was presented and cooked wonderfully well with various extras included, good wine list and attentive service, to me a restaurant that Castle Donington has been waiting too long for.

We visit the Manor periodically as a small group and the meal we had last night was one of the best, from a set menu, that we have had in some long time. The food was fresh and tasty and the service was excellent. Highly recommended.

I recently booked a large party at Sage for my parents birthday. The staff were really helpful including putting us in a private room with table set up as per my request. The food was really good and we even had a personal waitress. I would highly recommend this restaurant for large parties. Voir le carte

We had dinner at Sage Restaurant. What an absolute treat. The food was exceptional and clearly cooked by a very talented chef Craig Riley. To have food of michelin standard in the village is amazing. Every sauce, ice cream, veloute and item on the plate was cooked and seasoned to perfection. Plus with all the extra surprises it is way more than a three course meal. The service was great Janine and Debbie looked after us perfectly. Once the quality of this restaurant is known far and wide it will be booked up for months. Thank you to the whole team.

The Sage Restaurant was the setting for one of the best meals I have enjoyed in a long time. The influence of the new Chef has transformed the menu. It is both exciting and secretive and you have to try it to discover it! The menu is set out simply and doesn't give much away, it is almost a suggestion of what you might expect. You will not be disappointed! There was no mention of the first two courses, a platter of delicious canapes, followed by an Amuse Bouche and a variety of speciality home baked bread, The three courses that followed were each sublime, The service was impeccable, If you want a truly special dining experience, I urge you to give it a try. I am sure you will be wowed!

If you haven't tried this restaurant yet, please do, you won't be disappointed and I cannot recommend it enough. This restaurant needs it's own clear listing on Trip Advisor to differentiate it from the Donington Manor Hotel, please claim it Donington Manor! The Sage Restaurant, situated inside the hotel currently has Craig Riley as their head chef. Craig is extremely talented, dishing up Michelin standard food. We had the A La Carte menu here a few weeks ago. I read the excellent reviews but initially discounted the restaurant because dinner service is 6.30 8.30 and we struggle with babysitters.
