"Amazing!!! I am Peruvian, and this place reminds me of the restaurants I used to go to with my family when I was young! I've been a few times so far, including once with a large group of people, and we've always been easily accommodated and treated with smiles. Here are my reviews of some of the dishes: Lomo Saltado (beef stir-fry with chips): This is probably my favorite Peruvian dish ever; it's my go-to comfort food. The flavors are excellent. The dish is very generous, and I was able to happily enjoy my leftovers the next day! Anticuchos (beef heart): My boyfriend tried this dish for the first time ever, and he really enjoyed it! It might make some people a bit squeamish, but it's honestly a delicious dish that goes excellently with some boiled potatoes. Ají de gallina (spiced/creamy chicken) Another one of my comfort foods, this was delicious and was a VERY generous portion. Excellent to have half in the restaurant and use the rest the next day for sandwich filling! Yuca a la huancaína (fried cassava): Delicious. Perfectly fried yuca with some dipping sauce. I only wish there had been more! Ají sauce (green, spicy sauce): I didn't have any of this, as I am horrid with spicy sauces, BUT my Indian and Persian friends who came fell in love with this sauce so much that they requested to take some back with them after our meal! My one critique thus far is with the drinks: I haven't been able to try their chicha morada yet, so I'm not sure if it's homemade or from a mix or from a bottle, and when we ordered Inka Cola, we were given Andina Cola (really similar, but technically not the same). Small points to mention, but important to know regardless! I will say that our fruit drinks were freshly made and very good! Everyone who works here has been really lovely and friendly, and every time I've been there, Peruvians have been eating there. If that's not a glowing review to try it for authentic Peruvian food, I don't know what is! I honestly can't wait to go again and have other dishes on the menu!"

Fantastic food, reasonable prices, and the typical Peruvian restaurant atmosphere. I definitely recommend having lunch there!

Disappointing. This is a very humble place in an ugly, downmarket neighbourhood with Chelsea pricing. Get real. The food was ordinary and my minuscule portion of Ceviche for £16 was a complete rip off. Avoid this place. Voir le carte

We were heading to the Southwark Playhouse Elephant and needed a spot to grab a bite before the show. Right across the street from the theater, we stumbled upon this fantastic family restaurant. The atmosphere was clean and bustling, with Latin American music playing on the TV and a warm, welcoming staff. We enjoyed two delicious meals paired with a bottle of Peruvian wine. Overall, it was an excellent experience.

Outside it's not much to look at but enter the place and eat, you will be thrilled as every meal I have eaten there is beyond delicious. I have visited various times with family and friends and we are all of the same mind; tasty, flavoursome food and don't forget to try delicious Seco del Norte beef/lamb with beans and vegetables, or the incredibly tasty Picarones a little like doughnuts but made out of pumpkin and sweet potato, and have a Pisco Sour Cocktail too.

An authentic and humble Peruvian restaurant with very welcoming and attentive staff. The menu has a great variety of dishes covering traditional creole, fish and street food options. If you’ve been to Lima you’ll know this venue is the equivalent of a caf serving all the classics. Probably best to visit a few times as it’s very difficult to choose from all the great options on the menu. We recommend the tamales, ceviche de pescado, anticuchos and lomo saltado. We will be back to try the rest of the menu! Voir le carte

Last week, we went to Sabor Peruano while in London. We ordered a variety of dishes to share and tried Inca cola. Every dish was delicious, including the salchipapas we got for our son. Just a heads up, we had to pay in cash because their card reader didn't work with our cards. There are three ATMs outside, but one was broken, another didn't let us withdraw cash (only change PIN and check balance) with Bank of Ireland and Nationwide debit cards, so we had to use the third machine that charges £1.99. It might be a good idea to bring cash when visiting to avoid any issues.

My friend and I visited Saber Peruano in E&C on November 12th. We ordered ceviche, papa rellena, and 4 Cuzquenas beers. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the food. The ceviche consisted of slimy fish, stale banana fritters, a lump of dried corn, and a few slices of sweet potato. The papa rellena was just a boiled potato with some filling. Additionally, we were shocked by the rude remark made by the manager in Quechua as we left. I would recommend trying Tierra Peru on Essex Rd for excellent food and service. I will not be returning to Saber Peruano and suggest others not waste their money there.
