Had a voucher for an afternoon tea . Booking was easy and service was excellent , however the afternoon tea was underwhelming , sandwiches were ok. It basically, scones a bit hard , 3 little cakes and 1 was hard so was left . Not the quality I would have expected

We had the most wonderful experience yesterday evening. We were made to feel very welcomed by Beatrice who couldn’t do enough for us. Very professional indeed. The food was fantastic too.!! Couldn’t fault anything to be honest. The venue is beautiful too. Perfect evening out. Thank you Beatrice and the team !!

A fabulous location, just outside Bank tube station. The Royal exchange is a beautiful venue. The service was excellent, food choice was good and food was exquisite. Our waiter was very knowledgable about all the dishes. The service was quick and arrived hot. Potion sizes very good. Will go again. Given a selection of cakes as we were celebrating my birthday. My first experience at this restaurant on January 10, 2024 was fantastic. The staff at the reception and serving tables were welcoming and made me feel pampered and well taken care of. They were never snobbish and did not create a racist atmosphere, despite the establishment being posh and prestigious. Visited here as my work colleagues treated me to a 3 course dinner to celebrate a special birthday. Set in a wonderful building the inside is just spectacular. Greeted immediately and shown to our seats. Lovely welcome and drinks order taken. Our waiter was just simply fantastic, very friendly, attentive and couldn’t do enough for us. Lovely choice on the set menu. Food was simply stunning and couldn’t fault a thing. After talking to waiter and saying why we were there celebrating they brought out a plate of desserts with happy birthday on it. Sat at bar afterwards for a few cocktails. Lovely environment and fantastic service throughout the evening.

This is a lovely space to eat situated in the Royal Exchange building near Bank Station. Some friends had treated us to a set meal voucher which includes a cocktail and 3 courses. Of our 2 mains the lobster spaghetti was the standout and whilst my fish and chips were fine they arrived on a cold plate. If you stick to the voucher deal you can eat here quite reasonably though we decided to have a decent bottle of Marsannay Burgundy (well for us) at £76 water and coffees. So including service, voucher etc the bill was circa £200. We ate on the 22 12 after which the restaurant was closing for Christmas. Our celebratory evening was totally ruined by going for a drink at the Fortnum’s Bar. The rudeness of the blonde bar worker was disgusting. She totally ignored us waiting to get served at the bar. The bar was not busy and she gladly served someone before us although she clearly knew we were waiting. I asked a passing bar person for the drinks menu and he then asked her to pass me a menu. She then proceeded to argue with him, like she either didn’t want to give me a menu or didn’t like him asking her to do something. Why he couldn’t have passed an ipad to us I don’t know. She then took the order from the other person and while she was taking payment the ipad was in front of her not being used...

We recently visited The Exchange near Bank in London for our second afternoon tea at Fortnum & Mason. It was a delightful treat and we enjoyed being taken care of and pampered. This time, we were seated in a corner booth which provided a bit more space. We started with a glass of Fortnum & Mason champagne and a choice of tea, coffee, or hot chocolate. The finger sandwiches were beautifully presented, with a good variety for vegetarians, although I personally prefer egg and cheese options. My husband enjoyed the meat selection with chicken, egg, and ham. A gift for my 60th birthday. Was so excited as I thought it was in the big west end store, but no, it was in an old bank building, soulless in the city. Emails said to upload photo so they can greet you personally on arrival. Did as instructed but had to hover and wave the maitre’d on arrival. Wasn’t overly busy and a nice young lady seated us. All tables are small (for2only) and in a bright central space, surrounded by jewellery shops, and of course Fortnum &Mason tea and gift shop. It wasn’t cozy and welcoming, more like sitting in an airport departure lounge. 2 afternoon tea towers delivered, with tea,coffee and champagne.
