"My sister (45) and I (44) visited a restaurant today to celebrate the birthdays of my mum (72) and my godmother (71) after hearing good things about their afternoon tea. I have to say, we were not disappointed. The whole experience was delightful. We were warmly greeted by Linda and shown to our table. They offered a great selection of teas and the food was absolutely delicious. We appreciated the simplicity of the sandwiches and pastries, which were tasty and familiar. The sandwiches included cream cheese and cucumber, ham with Dijon mustard, and egg mayo. The scones were light and fluffy, while the cakes, including Victoria sponge, lemon drizzle, chocolate brownie, and red velvet, were all delicious. The waitstaff, including Lily, Harry, and Linda, were attentive and accommodating. As a special surprise, they brought out individual cupcakes with candles and sang happy birthday to the ladies, which was a lovely touch. I would highly recommend having afternoon tea at this restaurant. It is well worth the money and provides a great experience."

"Decided to come here with a friend on a Saturday evening- booked a table and was pleased to find our table ready. There are so many games to choose from and combined with some drinks and snacks makes a lovely Saturday evening. There’s no pressure to finish the games and it’s a really relaxed atmosphere. Staff were really lovely and when asked questions were able to answer. I’m not the biggest board game fan however I had a great time and the 3 hours we spent there flew past! The only thing I’d say is that is was very musty and a bit stuffy so having a fan or a window slightly opened would help the air circulate a bit more but overall I’d definitely go back!"

"my heart and I went yesterday to the (pre-booked) festive menu and it was sensational! for 25 £ each we enjoyed an excellent four-course menu and generous glass homemade glow wine, accompanied by the greastest customer service in a cozy Christmas party - but not over the top atmosphere. also the special Christmas beer on the tap was excellent. the make-over that this pub had since the takeover of the new owners is incredible and offers highest standards of eating with a fantastic price-performance ratio."

"If you are looking for authentic Indian cuisine, do not order from Indian Sizzler Restaurant in Watford. Despite its name, the food here seems to be prepared the Bangladeshi way, which is quite different from traditional Indian cooking. My experience with their food was very disappointing. I ordered Butter Chicken and Lamb Chops via Deliveroo. The Butter Chicken was not what I expected at all; instead of the creamy, rich dish I was hoping for, I received large pieces of chicken hastily dumped in an orange coconut curry. It was far from the authentic Butter Chicken I'm used to. As for the Lamb Chops, they were inedible – extremely hard to chew and dry. Moreover, when I called the restaurant to explain that the food did not meet our expectations, the staff were very rude and dismissive over the phone. This level of customer service is unacceptable. Overall, if you want genuine Indian food, I would suggest looking elsewhere. My experience at Indian Sizzler was thoroughly disappointing in both taste and service. Also you may wish to see the one star reviews that others have also stated."

"We were a couple of weary travelers who had literally come in from a Thai holiday, very late and getting close to closing time, for a brief visit in Bushey before heading back home to Florida. I 'm so sorry I didn 't get their names, but the proprietors were attending, and an absolutely gem of a couple! We were welcomed straight away into this beautiful, clean pub where clearly the regulars were sat happily at home in this lovely place. We were served up (much needed! lush ice cold brews and fantastic hospitable chit chat and convo. They made us feel like one of the family in no time, and in the short time we were there at that! We look forward to our next visit, to my husband 's hometown of Bushey, with more time to spend in this wonderful establishment, hopefully to relax and listen to live music as I understand they are known for as well. HIGHLY recommend The Horse Chains!"
