Good homemade food. Definitely I will go back again to try other menu.

Had a wonderful breakfast at Roots, can’t fault the food or the service. I’ve been here a few times and always had a great experience and fabulous food.

Popped into Roots as a wanted a Saturday morning breakfast. Staff were really polite. My Full English was top notch. Overall experience was very good. Would defo go ago when I’m next in Eastbourne. Voir le carte

Went here with family and were looking for a breakfast that offered gluten free. This place did not disappoint. Large portion sizes and the food was perfectly cooked. Gluten free breakfast was great and the gluten free toast was lovely.

I had the most wonderful Xmas Dinner I could ever have imagined from roots delivered to me. An exceptional chef. Wonderful, polite, friendly staff service. The highest standards of cleanliness. I couldn't fault it if I tried. I look forward to heading in there in January for a good English fry up, more. A place to relax feel you're among friends.

1st time here, opted for the veggie breakfast in the end, a nice choice and a good daily specials menu too! Have to return to try more. Nice friendly staff and good layout inside. Would have given it 5 stars but the kitchen was fairly smokey and that ended up inside where you eat! Maybe best to eat outside if you don't want to smell of cooked food. Voir le carte

I came across this cafe today while strolling round Eastbourne on the final morning of a short trip. Ordered the french toast cinnamon bagel with bacon, bananas and maple syrup. It was really delicious , freshly prepared and hot, as was the hot chocolate , all served by a very pleasant smiling waitress who couldn't have been more helpful. The table was newly cleaned and service was prompt. Lovely place, will definitely be back next visit.

Was looking for a quick lunch before heading home and came across this place. The menu was awash with so many lovely choices it took us ages to decide which was the most tempting, I went for the roots vegan lunch bap with veggie pattie, hash brown, large slice of grilled tomato and avocado mash in a wholemeal bap. Absolutely lip smackingly delicious,all washed down with a big pot of tea. Will definitely head here again next time I’m in town. Nice friendly table service too. Thoroughly recommended to all.

Don't bother. Lots of alternative lovely coffee shops in the area. The staff here are extremely dismissive, rude and confrontational, and really do not seem to give a monkeys about their jobs. This reflects in the atmosphere. Tables sticky and dirty. It was the least busy of the local cafes and eateries and now I can see why. I ended up asking for a refund and left. Just awful. I have never written a review before in my life but this rudeness was on another level. Went to Beanzz up the road which was amazing and restored my bubbly personality and faith in the local people!
