Fish and haggis were nice but relatively small and chip portions were tiny !!!! As you can see from the picture

First time at Romys and having waited 8 weeks during this lockdown I can honestly say best fish n chips ever .... lovely friendly staff .... thankyou x

Ordered for a home delivery. Efficient and prompt delivery . Food was really nice . Probably about our 6th time to order from here . And , we’ll do it again . Thanks Romy’s

This was definitely the worst and most expensive fish and chips I've ever had. The staff were unfriendly and rude, more interested in their phones than providing good service. I will not be returning.

Very good food local chippy not much to say but Fridays are a no go as it's very very busy waiting to be served a while in small area so if it's raining outside and your at the back of the queue get a brolly. Voir le carte

Went in earlier tonight with my partner there was ONE person being served. 5 staff working 3 staff at the till area 2 young boys and a woman. Waited for a bit until someone actually spoke to us. Woman lifted her head to say 'be with you in a minute ' We waited and watched the THREE staff members work on a take away order. We eventually walked out. Shocking service

We have been going to Romy's for years. The food is good but since they have opened other restaurants the service has fallen off a cliff. We preordered a pizza so we could have it ready when we arrived. Advised 15 minutes. When we arrived it was in the hot plate but they refused to serve it and we had to stand in the queue. 15 minutes later we still hadn't been served so we asked again can we JUST have the pizza. No! Wait in the queue. This was another 15 minutes and bone dry when we got it.

Been our local chippy for years but recently had an unfortunate experience with a member of staff who had very bad attitude. Phoned to ask for a chip steak to be put on but was told 'never heard of them, don 't do them '. I thought that was strange because we have ordered them previously, numerous times. Decided it must have been someone new and drove there to speak to them in person. The attitude when I enquired about the chip steak was unbelievable! I never cause a fuss and only asked a question as the meal was advertised on the leaflet and menu. The girl kept looking at her friend as if it was all my fault.
