"Although billing itself as a pizzeria, Isola Verde also offers traditional Italian dishes. We were the only ones not eating pizzas, however, in a restaurant crowded with what appeared to be families from the area (always a good sign! . The restaurant, on a busy street, has an unassuming exterior, so it’s easy to miss, but we found an attractive and cozy interior during our first visit. We started with soup, including my very tasty fish soup consisting of mussels, clams, and fish in a clear broth. For our main courses, my wife had a grilled salmon with buttered spinach while I had saltimbocca ala Romana (literally, “jumps in the mouth” , a dish as traditionally Italian as osso buco. Although normally rolled up, the quite good prosciutto was simply placed over the veal and topped with (a bit overly salty brown gravy. The accompanying fettucine was cooked exactly right. My wife also liked her salmon. Best of all, with a soda and a large beer and including a tip, our bill came to just €50. We definitely plan to return, the next time with our daughters, to sample Isola Verde’s pizza."

Sehr nette Pizzeria, Essen ist sehr gut und sie haben einen gemütlichen Gastgarten. Sie liefern auch immer sehr schnell nach Hause. Chef und Personal sind immer sehr freundlich.

Freundliches Personal, sehr gutes Essen, rundum sauber. Von außen eher unscheinbar punktet dieses italienische Restaurant rundum. Es gibt auch einen großen Gastgarten. Einziges Manko war für mich der etwas sehr sparsame Umgang mit Basilikum bei der Vorspeise Tomaten, Mozzarella mit Basilikum (deshalb geb ich auch nur 4 Sterne). Zum Abschluss gab es einen Grappa, ein rundum schöner Abend.

Hervorragendes italienisches Restaurant. Wenn man auch abseits einer guten Pizza wirklich feine italienische Spezialitäten schätzt, ist man hier richtig. Freundliche Atmosphäre, nettes Personal, der Chef persönlich serviert. Zur Rechnung gibt es traditionell einen Grappa oder einen Amaretto eine liebe gastfreundliche Geste. Preislich sicherlich eher gehoben, aber das ist mir die Qualität wert. Leider komme ich nicht mehr so oft hin, seit ich nicht mehr in Wien wohne, aber wenn ich in Wien bin schaue ich immer gerne wieder vorbei.

We went to have dinner here, with no expectations, because we were hungry and wanted to have pasta. We walked into this really cosy restaurant and decided to sit in their outdoor terrace garden in the back. I had the Mansi e Aglio pasta (beef, mushroom and garlic pasta) and my boyfriend had the Grilled Calamari with Rucula (rocket) salad. The Pasta was very delicious, and grilled calamari was perfectly cooked. We were very happy with the excellent food. Service was friendly and prices were reasonable. The Italian wines were good too. We liked the restaurant so much we returned again in the same week. This will be one of our favorite Italian restaurants from now on.
