We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Meat coming round regularly, no pork was requested and they remembered avoided our table whilst they had pork dishes. Service lovely all round pleasant meal

This was our first visit but won't be out last. There is something for everyone, Salas, chilli, pasta and lots of different meats. They also have a good selection of drinks and cocktails. All served but very friendly staff.

This restaurant was extremely disappointing. The food was terrible and overpriced. The meat was too salty and left a bad taste in our mouths. The staff seemed to have a bad attitude. It was odd to see lasagna and overly salty meats on the same plate. Overall, it was a strange and unpleasant experience. We will not be returning anytime soon and had to eat somewhere else to get rid of the bad taste.

Went here and have not experienced anything like it. Order your drink, get your potato/rice/veg. Then turn your wooden block to show green and sit back. Server's come round with huge skewers of meat and slice the meat off onto your plate. If you need a break turn your block to red. Not the cheapest meal but worth it especially for meat lovers. Make sure you book in advance. Looking forward to next time

Myself and my husband had a very rare date night, we've been here once before and loved it then. Our second visit did NOT disappoint. The staff were really friendly, the salad bar was fresh and very enjoyable. The meat oh my goodness it was tender, flavourful and piping hot, the choices of meat were really good. We decided to share the warm chocolate fudge cake with ice cream and WOW! It was amazing! Rounded off the night beautifully. On recommendation (not a criticism Would be to have some sort of sign/labels for the salad bar to know what the pasta dishes were, or to know what the cold potatoes in the oil (amazing by the way! are. We will definitely be back in the near future.

We went for my wife’s 60th birthday with our two adult sons, meat was quite salty and some of the beef virtually inedible being so tough, one of the waiters serving the lamb served other tables and walked straight pass us so my son asked another waiter for lamb which eventually they bought to the table but by far the worst complaint is that dead on 2 hours after arriving a waitress brought our bill over and told us that our 2 hour table occupancy was now up and it was time to pay the bill and leave, I could possibly understand if the restaurant was full but 3/4 of the tables were empty! 7 of us visited Rio's for our son's 17th birthday. Our eldest son has been raving about it for some time and he wasn't wrong! From the minute we arrived and were seated at our table, toppled with spotlessly clean linen tablecloths and with attractively folded linen napkins, we felt welcomed and at home. The salad bar offers a wide selection of fresh ingredients such as lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, onions, coleslaw, potatoes, bread, cheese, gherkins, cous cous, and more. I recently visited this restaurant for the first time, despite it being open for 12 years, and I have to say it is now my favorite place to eat in Ipswich. The food was amazing, with a wide variety of buffet style hot and cold traditional dishes that were all delicious. The staff was friendly and efficient, getting our drinks for us right away. I was recommended to try a traditional Brazilian beer, which was fantastic. We were able to choose our sides and then the meat just kept coming, all perfectly cooked and tender.
