"Unfortunately, the Cafe Central is no longer what it was.The food has been significantly reduced by taste and clearly rising prices but at the same time significantly reduce portions and significantly increase prices? This is only justified if the taste is true. Were now a few more eating there always in the hope that it fits again but unfortunately we are getting disappointed again and again.That's why for food only 3 stars.Service was also much more friendly (a few old bunnies are still)And ambiance has always really enjoyed me there.TOP are still the cakes .Megalecker, great selection and prices ok.I hope that will be better again in general..."

"The food is good. I had a pasta with aubergine, and my friend had a pizza, and we enjoyed the meals. We are both ovo-vegetarian and they satisfied our dietary requirement.However, we both asked for water to drink and we both got huge glasses of carbonated drink. It tasted so revolting, I don't think it was water. We then had to look up the word for tap water in German (their English wasn't very good, which is fair enough), which we then asked for. What seemed like an age later (over 10 minutes),? we got a glass of tap water. Keep in mind that there was nobody else there in the restaurant. It was just your typical miserable German waitress. The pizza that was ordered, was a standard no cheese pizza with aubergine on top (it may have been some other vegetable, in any case it was one of the optional toppings you pay extra for). However the waitress said it is like this (x) pizza, but without the cheese, and she was then corrected to the pizza that was wanted and with the additional topping (because it worked out cheaper).When the bill came, not only was there the ridiculous charge for the fizzy water we could not drink, but they had charged for the tap water! And then they had billed for the pizza with the cheese on. I paid, but then my friend who had the pizza challenged it after, and they eventually agreed to correct the pizza price. I did not mention the water to them.I want to review this place with 2.5 stars, 3 stars is too much, so I have to give it 2 stars. The food is good, but the staff seem miserable, unfriendly and dishonest (the former 2 are common in Germany, the latter not so much), which just makes it too uncomfortable for me to recommend or want to go back there. If you have to eat good food in this town then this may be your only option. Just be a bit more wary than you may normally be."

"Super schöne Atmosphäre, besonders der Außenbereich hat mir sehr gefallen. Die Mitarbeiter*innen waren aufmerksam und freundlich. Ich hatte am ersten Abend einen Salat mit Ziegenkäse und am zweiten Abend einen Burger beides war geschmacklich lecker, auch den Wein kann ich wärmsten empfehlen. Sollte ich mal wieder in Schongau sein, schaue ich gerne wieder vorbei. Service: Dine in"

"I have dined at Olympia on numerous occasions. Always a pleasure! That's because the prices are right, the portions are right and over-all the food is very tasty. As a non-meat-eater, I cannot speak for the meat dishes but the fish tends to be tasty...and fresh-tasting. The deserts are just superb, that is if you like Greek treats. In sum, I would recommend Olympia. I agree with some fellow contributor, it sure hasn't changed much in the past years; however, with big cosy tables, there's no need for that. After all, it wouldn't be what it is, namely a Greek restaurant in a small Bavarian town, if it fell for minimalist design."

"Das Restaurant einst durch Zufall entdeckt und inzwischen schon 3x da gewesen! Jedes mal war es sehr sehr lecker und alles einwandfrei! Das Beste: der Salat und das Gemüse im warmen Hauptgericht waren immer ganz frisch zubereitet und schmecken dementsprechend super gut! Jede Karottenscheibe, jedes Stück Zucchini u.a. im Hauptgericht hat einen richtig guten Eigenschmack. Nix zerkocht, welk oder labbrig, wie man es schon mal in anderen (deutschen? Restaurants erlebt hat. Die Entenstückchen waren bei uns immer knusprig und sehr lecker gewürzt. Das andere Fleisch in der Soße auch sehr zart und lecker. Auffallend war für uns aber von Anfang auch der extrem nette Service durch den immer freundlichen, sehr bemühten Ober. Wir sind auch schon mal später gekommen, wo andere schon lange keine Lust mehr auf Kunden hatten und der Empfang und die Bedienung waren trotzdem sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend! Das haben wir woanders so noch nie erlebt! Danke!"
