"The food was not good at all with an inclination to put funny, over-empowering sauces on everything. From the burger to the fish and the chips. On the latter, it wasn’t actually a whole fish battered and deep fried but some haddock or cod fish fingers that although they were fresh, they were processed at the end of the day. That’s not fish and chips to me. Honestly, just removing these thousand island sauces and stuff will automatically increase the quality of the food. In any case, that’s never a good sign coming from the kitchen as what are they hiding?The beer is fresh and being homonym to the town where this place is located I wouldn’t have expected otherwise. The experience could have been much better but it ended up being rather mediocre. Couldn’t understand how come is the second ranked place in Bitburg but once I got to know the town and its culinary offer I completely understood."

"already last year we met this stylish restaurant after a visit to the bitburger brewery. we liked to have come back this year to enjoy another time some perfectly tapped bitburger to a good bourgeois and tasty eating. we were promptly served and quickly had the cards and our first drinks. the food came approx. 20 minutes after the order. the meat was tender, the noodles al dente and the salads fresh but slightly too sharply seasoned, although this is naturally a taste. for the jump of very good to excellent lacks a little the kick at the service. here we felt that the customers were more prepared than served with a certain cordiality."

"First I booked this hotel on Hotels .com and received the normal confirmation back from them.. Then I saw that if I booked directly with the hotel I could save Great. Tried to do that but received neither email or telephone confirmation from the...hotel. Finally called the hotel number provided but the individual who answered could not figure this out. But after a little but he stated that the hotel was booked out, explaining why I had not received any response. OK, went back to Hotels .com to make sure everything was still in place but low and behold they said there were several rooms still available. I then emailed the hotel about the situation and also said that since I tried to book with the hotel directly I would expect to receive the discount. Received an answer saying that would not happen. Dropped the matter. Following this exchange I left on my trip and did not have email service. When I arrive in Bitburg I had dinner, and the next day requested to speak with the manager. The waitress was snippy but finally produced him, Explained the situation and he replied that he had emailed me back saying I could stay there. Two problems. I never got this email when I was home. He still sent no confirmation data. What does , I can stay there mean Bottom line, he refused to give me the discount even though the in line website said I would get it if I booked there and they would call. They did not call and provided No formal assurance that I would have a room. It would have been much much easier to forget this place and just stay somewhere else. The food was good but not memorable. The manager was totally unrelenting about not giving me a discount which would have amounted to less than Euros. He found it more pleasant to give me a lot of lip. This was a bad experience and left a very bad taste in my mouth. He insisted his website page was clear but had it been I would have received some sort of email or telephone confirmation I had a room. I hope he is happy about reneging on his discount offer. I just warn others not to go through a similar experience as I did. It is certainly not worth it. I would never go there again."

"It was our first visit, coming from Belgium, to the small City of Bitburg in beautiful German Eifel Region during a sunny week end trip. We literally bumped into this restaurant, located in the centre of the City. As we had planned to spend the...night in a hotel just nearby, we were tempted by the large selection of the menu visible at the entrance and decided to open the door of the restaurant and walked in. We were immediately struck by signs of both German gemütlichkeit (Wirtshaus) and Italian accoglienza The meal, typically and genuinely Italian, was of excellent quality. It was an unexpected, very positive experience. We warmly recommend this restaurant."
