"I was very disappointed at what I thought would be a terrific early evening (outdoor) coffee. The staff were in frenetic mode, unorganized and lacked direction. It took 45 minutes to get two espressos and one bottle of water. Our waiter cashed out to go home and left us hanging. I looked for him and was advised his co-worker would bring the check. It still took another 10 minutes. I had seen this waitress inside and she was huffing because she had, too much to do. She also complained with a bit of an attitude to us how busy and short staff they were when we requested our check for the third time. I ask myself again and again in these restaurants with poor service, where is management or the owner? I wouldnt recommend this restaurant during peak hours. I will give it another chance off peak. The food the table next to us had ordered looked well presented."

I have been visiting the OPUS restaurant regularly again for some time now. The staff is very nice. The menu is delicious, the antipasti buffet also deserves 5 stars.

A very cool, chic restaurant right on the river here in Lucerne. We choose to sit outside to people watch and enjoy the beautiful views and weather. Staff helped us pick their favorite wine, and I got the best fish I've had in Europe which was the seabass with Beet Chimichuri! Highly recommend for a nice bite with incredible views!

Opus is simply okay. It's a beautiful place, in a great location, and the food was decent with gluten free options. But, for the price it was not worth it honestly. I've had far tastier meals of similar quality. Burger was fine, steak was fine (veggies with the steak were slightly undercooked), and the Vermicelles desert was simply eh (I've had better at Bachmann and in France). The service was kind enough, but once again, just fine. The whole experience was okay, but given the price, I expect better and wouldn't repeat it if given the chance.
