"Goodness ... rarely have I had a meal that I was so disappointed with but which cost so much. Croutes aux champignons is a dish, eating frequently in a certain Swiss heritage Cafe Tea Room in Yorkshire I’m aware of, but this it was not. A slab of bread with, what tasted like a packet-mix mushroom sauce on top was a disappointment which could, perhaps, have been accepted as no more than an unlucky choice had it not been for the crème brûlée desert. “C’est tres chaud” said the waitress as she presented the refrigerated and flash-grilled saucer. Sadly what she didn’t say it was lumpy too before turning the lights on and off to indicate “leave, because we’re closing” and a bill that, even in Switzerland, was eye-watering. Shall I return? Nope."

on est déjà passé plusieur fois, c est un restaurant très acceuillant, la nourriture est exellante, une ambiance agréable, je n ai jamais été déçu et j'y retournerais

Mein Mann und ich gingen zum Abendessen, toller Service, ausgezeichnetes Essen. . . große Weinkarte. . . Ich bestellte Lamm und mein Mann bestellte Pfahl. . . uns beiden hat es so gut gefallen. . . tolle Präsentation und sehr schönes Ambiente. . . auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

Wir kamen etwas verspätet, wegen Autostau, in Aigle an und trafen zufällig dieses Gasthaus, in dem wir freundlich empfangen wurden. Es werden preisgünstige Mittagsmenüs aufgetragen, es gibt auch a la carte über Mittag. Nette gute Speisen mit französischer Ambience werden aufgetragen, zu einem günstigen Preis. Mein Partner und ich wollten an einem sonnigen Samstag hier zu Mittag essen. Wir bestellten eine kalte Platte und eine Portion Moitié-Moitié-Fondue zu je einem Glas Weisswein. Die Bedienung meinte daraufhin, das (in der Karte als 1 Portion bestellbare Fondue müsse von 2 Personen bestellt werden und könne nicht unter uns geteilt werden. Da wir lediglich beide von den beiden Menüs kosten wollten, konnten wir es überhaupt nicht nachvollziehen, wieso unser Wunsch nicht möglich sei... schliesslich gingen wir, ohne etwas gekostet zu haben. Die unfreundliche Bedienung hat uns den Appetit verdorben.

"we ate at the communal pint thanks to a good purchase on the qooking site. and it was a very nice discovery, the restaurant being totally unknown to me before. A modern, cozy decor, two separate parts, one brewery the other more gastronomic, one terrace. a very friendly welcome. We tasted the menu 8 dishes in agreement with 3 wines. The dishes are superb, whether for the eyes with a remarkable presentation and an original dishes but also for the nose with subtle fragrances and for the palate with tastes sought but harmonious. A mention for the sorbets, great chef's specialty, regularly added to the dishes and cleverly married. the tip of freshness was a plus, while it was about 34° outside. meat and fish cooking is controlled. We especially enjoyed the foie gras, its red and orange beet sorbet and the rhubarbe chutney - the low-temperature cooked poultry poultry with its high-pitched reduction - the summum was the apple poached with spices and its Breton biscuit, we add a little raw pistachio and a salty caramel butter and get a dream meal end. And I'm not a dessert lover. A single small flat for the carrot velvet and its fruit sorbet of passion, the velvety lacked peps. But it's just a personal opinion. A lovely service, with regular pace, the choice of wines was good with a beautiful Valais discovery (fin bec.) a very good price for the quality of the kitchen. We exchanged a few words with the chef, who does not hesitate to share his passion, without giving his secrets of course.A great gastronomic moment and a beautiful discovery in Aigle.Bravo and thank you."
