This is an unpretentious roadside auberge in the Haute-Vienne. The welcome by madame is genuine and the food is of a high standard. The menu complet at 13 euros including wine is a bargain.

J'ai déjeuné là-bas cette semaine. Le Tête de veau est fortement recommandé même si cela ne plaît pas à tout le monde. Il y avait une alternative au menu avec de la soupe, de la tarte à l'oignon et du pot-au-feu.

I love this place, it's good simple food done well at a really reasonable cost. I've been a few times for dinner and recently went for lunch which was fantastic. This isn't the smartest looking place in the world but the food is good.

Nous avons dîné ici hier à midi. C'était aussi bon que notre dernière visite. Un excellent menu du jour est proposé à un prix raisonnable, un superbe bar à salade et un choix de fromages et de desserts. Le chef vous donnera une description de chaque plat principal en anglais si nécessaire. Notre serveuse était très attentionnée. Nous reviendrons. Merci.

On the roadside, catering for all travellers, whether local, passing drivers or visiting tourists, the realise de la tour is a genuinely pleasant place to stop and take lunch. Great value at 13 euros for a three course meal. Madame is welcoming with a smiling face. Not much if any English spoken but don't let that stop you from trying this place, you certainly won't regret it!

Group of 18 or so celebrating Xmas meal. Very friendly reception. We had a set meal of 4 courses and a glass or two wine and a coffee for 20 euros. Can't knock the price. Sunday lunchtime too! However the kir aperitif was very sweet and probably had blackcurrant syrup rather than creme de cassis in it. Food was ok(ish) frozen veg though. Main course of pork tenderloin was completely acceptable.

C'est une excellente halte déjeuner. On peut le deviner par le nombre de camions qui sont toujours dans le parking. Ces gars savent où trouver de la nourriture décente, simple mais généreuse pour le déjeuner à un prix raisonnable. Et cela n'a pas déçu. Nous avons dégusté un soupe de légumes très bonne, des crudités, du porc fondant (le poulet était épuisé, les routiers l'avaient tout mangé) avec de délicieuses pommes de terre sautées et des oignons, le tout accompagné d'un dessert fait maison. Nous n'avons pas pris de fromage mais ce que j'ai vu passer avait l'air copieux et en très bon état. It's a truck stop, right? A place where you get a massive home cooked meal served quickly at prices which make you wonder how they do it. For 14 euros, you help yourself from a tureen of soup, then you get a massive plate of salad or quiche or pate, followed by another massive platter of steak and mash, or pork chops with cabbage, or whatever they're cooking that day, and then the cheese board gets plonked on your table, and then there's a generous pudding (fruit tart, chocolate mousse, etc).
