For a pub chain, the food is very good. It was busy but the staff coped well and we didn't have a long wait.

Really nice local pub with lots of original features, despite the Greene King branding. Friendly, helpful staff and a relaxed atmosphere. Although it was chain food, it was cooked to order and well presented. The drinks and food were reasonably priced

Popped in to an afternoon lunch and beer was nice, staff were very friendly and attentive, food was served quickly! Such a beautiful country pub and peaceful. Surprising to see the snobby reviews of people who are restless! You're doing great guys! Nothing good like a beautiful country pub with good food.

I have lunched here twice recently. My disability makes eating difficult but the staff have been kind and accommodating , chopping the food and providing extra gravy enabling me to eat and enjoy it. We were a party of eight who all enjoyed their meal. I did mention, on my first visit, that the accessible loo is very low so took my own raised seat on this occasion!! Wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Visited yesterday 26/10/22 for lunch my friend and I had the two courses for £6.99 we choose the mains and desert ,we were both delighted with our meals, the mains were a good size and tasty, for our desert we had Apple and blackberry crumble with clotted cream ice cream. It was present with fresh raspberries on the side all I can say it was delicious. Well worth calling into the Red Rover at Wellow.

I had a really lovely time! They'd run out of a couple of things, but the waitress explained it all ahead of time and the menu is still really big. We also got brought the wrong food, but the waitress sorted it out as quickly as possible and gave us a few free drinks which was super nice of her. I gave it four rather than five because of the aforementioned things and because the table was quite sticky, but I honestly had a great time and would definitely go again!

We were staying at a local campsite and wanted some tea but they had a 90 minute wait for food so we decided to drive the short distance to the Red Rover. We had previously eaten here before but it was some years ago. Lovely atmosphere and welcome happy to have dogs too food was really good lots of choice we had ribs and steak which was really tasty and good value lamb shank, lasagne and hunters chicken all great choices 100% recommend you won't be disappointed we are local so will be back!

We've lived in the village for a year now and hadn't been till this last weekend. We feared, with it being a chain pub, that it would be a bit soulless and bland. Far from it. It felt like a really nice, classy country pub. The staff were outstandingly friendly and helpful, really kind to our little girls as well. The food was really, really good. The menu had so much choice, especially for a Sunday. It was all cooked to perfection and was so tasty. Our guests were mightily impressed. We'll definitely be returning, can't speak highly enough about this place our, more importantly, it's staff. Fantastic.

Excellent food and service We came in yesterday for the first time in several years but we were pleasantly surprised by how much the standards of both the food and staff had improved. We were greeted at the bar by the brilliant Tom who took us to a table and explained what was and wasn't available to order, as well as how ordering and the like worked as everywhere is different nowadays. We ordered our food and drinks and despite it being a little bit busy, everything was out quickly. Once the food came it was delightful and whilst it was so tasty we didn't quite have room for a pudding. Tom was very helpful and attentive all throughout our visit and we will definitely be back again soon.
