"This is by far our favourite coffee shop of all time, yes I said all time. Sandra Michael bend over backwards for all of their customers to make them all feel special nothing is too much trouble. The coffee is good the food is excellent freshly made local produce which tastes exactly how you expect it to taste more often than not even better! It is family friendly with lots of kids toys to keep the children happy along with Sandra's childrens lunch boxes which our daughter loves. If you are in the area make sure you stop at Flavours, where you will always be welcomed with a smile you won't be disappointed with the food drink either."

"Lovely meal at Casa Zilli, really personal in their service and helped make our family birthday meal feel really special! Food was fantastic and they really couldn’t do more for us! Parking: Parking available, make sure you know where the correct entrance is as travelling in the dark can make it hard to find. Kid-friendliness: It’s an adult venue, however they do have a kids menu and were more than accommodating. Probably not the right venue for little children."

"What an absolute gem of a place. Small but beautiful. Think bone China and fairy lights with amazing cakes! We had ham salad sandwich and scrambled eggs on toast which were lovely. Followed by chocolate cake, which was the best I've ever tasted. I made a point of telling them this and was informed that everything is made in house, which is even more impressive. Hot chocolate was delicious also. Their afternoon tea looked amazing. We will definitely be going back. The guy at front of house is so fabulously friendly and welcoming. All in all a lovely lovely lunch."

"I went there with my family. I have eaten Kerala food at different places. The atmosphere and food taste seemed okay. It was also served quickly. However, I had mentioned to the waiter that my elder daughter is allergic to milk/dairy, eggs and nuts. I asked at least 3 times that the items ordered for her, namely (kerala style) fish curry and (kerala style) chicken curry did not have any of these ingredients. I and my daughter have eaten these above dishes in other kerala restuarants near Croydon, Sutton etc. and know that these dishes generally do not have any of these above allergens. However, despite this I asked the waiter and he assured me that there is no such ingredient. Within about 10 minutes after my daughter had plain rice along with these curries and leaving the restaurant my daughter vomitted twice and also felt very sick and like going to toilet repeatedly. We administered anti-allegen medicines and rushed home. In fact, during the meal my partner had commented that the gravy was unusually thick and I mentioned that might be merely due to addition of coconut milk (which my daughter is not allergic to). But now, after my daughter's reaction, I suspect that some cream (or some other dairy based) or crushed cashewnut was part of the ingredients. The other possibility was that some utensils were used which had been used previously for the allergen ingredients (possible contamination) This shows some degree of callousness on the part of the staff and lack of sensitivity towards allergens. The staff are not well-trained. The restuarant food taste was good for me. The service was also prompt and the staff were friendly, allthough the food was pricier than some of the other Kerala restuarants in Croydon or Sutton. Will I visit this place again with my family or friends? The answer is a firm NO."

"I gave this restaurant a try. First I need to say, as well as many uk asian restaurants, I have travelled many times to Hong Kong and Taiwan, therefore have experienced how these dishes should be. I had salt and pepper prawns, these were the...worsed examples, the ratio of prawns, which were tiny, to greasy batter made them indigestible. Next was the pork dumplings, I can only imagine these had been frozen and reheated, the dumpling pastry was tough and dry, the filling was ok, but with little seasoning and no liquor, as it should be if made fresh. Next was the singapore noodles that had the minimum of ingredients for this traditional uk/us dish, I think there were indeed rice noodles, onion and red pepper, nothing else I could see or taste. Anyone can find a recipe for this dish. Missing, or minimal, ingredients that I have found in other restaurants: cabbage, beansprouts, chilli, curry powder, sesame oil, carrot, egg, prawns, pork, chicken etc. It is a mystery to me how such a restaurant can remain in business, and it is a sit down restaurant as well as a takeaway! The above was not good value at Avoid."
