Quchnia - Carte

This was the best mid-priced breakfast option in the Gendarmenmarkt. Skip your hotel's overpriced options and come here instead. The staff were nice, the coffee excellent and the food healthy and interesting.

Came here for a nightcap, lovely atmosphere and chilled music. Great view over the square. Ended up with a glass of wine and the crumble - I have to say this was the best (mini) crumble I've ever had - DO NOT SHARE!

Stopped there because I saw the nice café right by Gendarmenmarkt. The food was ok, but the service was terrible. I asked for the check, and it took the server about 30 minutes between bringing the check and then coming back with the credit card machine. Voir le carte

They have a seating here in the square and is a nice little seating area when the weather is nice. The menu is ok and the waiter happily provided us menus in English so we could order.Breakfast was ok, beer and coffee are good so i would use this place again.

Had one of the best snacks/meals during our stay in Berlin. The standout meal was a sandwich with avocado, pickled beetroot and feta cheese. Fantastic. Would recommend a visit here if you are not in a hurry. We did not mind waiting for our meals as they were all worth the wait when they arrived.

Just across the road from the Gendarmenmarkt (lovely square with concert hall etc), there is outdoor seating available. The service is exceptionally slow, so don't be in a rush if you are eating here. The staff aren't particularly attentive either.The food is quite good. I had the chicken club sandwich, which was very tasty. The chicken was proper chicken breast and the fillings were generous. For $22 for 2 x beers and 2 x lunches, it wasn't too bad at all. We wanted to like this place and it looked inviting enough: beautiful setting, overlooking the Gendarmenmarkt, helpful wait staff, decent looking menu, etc. But the food was terrible. Probably the worst Caesar Salad I've ever had and I've had a few. Wet, wilted, bland. The asparagus soup was unexciting and not properly seasoned. Boring store-bought sliced bread served on the side in a city where the fresh-baked bread can be excellent. We had a hard time finishing our plates, and we were hungry. Avoid and look elsewhere.

Who doesn’t want to sit in a grand platz in a major European city and watch the world go by? When it is coupled with comfy outdoor lounges, lots of shade or sun, great food and good service, it must be a winner and Quchnia certainly is. So much so that we went back again for exactly the same food.With so many meals out when travelling, sometimes it’s nice just to have a salad and an aperol spritz. My wife’s Caesar salad and my Quinoa salad all in, were both fresh, large and tasty. And as I said, worth having again.Definitely recommended if you are in the Gendarmemarket area.

It was raining all day when we were wandering around Berlin so we were cold and damp. We spotted Quchnia while in Gendarmenmarkt so we decided to stop here. It was busy enough but we were able to get a table by the window easily. There were only two young women working out front so I did think we may have to wait for service. However they were very organised and we were served quickly. We ordered our coffees and sandwich and didn't have to wait long for these. The coffee was excellent. My club sandwich was really a chicken toastie. It was tasty but not a club sandwich. Our waitress was friendly, she also spoke excellent English.I liked the relaxed vibe in Quchnia.
