"The food and service were both excellent at this restaurant, which was a quick 5-10 minute walk from the JW Marriott Grosvenor House. The restaurant itself was comfortable with a good noise level, making it suitable for business gatherings, family meals, or dates. The steamed dumplings and special fried rice we shared were delicious, as was the fried cod and rice noodles my coworkers had. I tried the Szechuan chicken, which was good but I found it needed some extra spiciness so I added hot sauce. The cod was a generous portion with a light crust, served with a soy sauce. We also enjoyed a beer and a glass of red wine, although the selection of wines by the glass was limited. The service was friendly and efficient, and overall I would recommend this restaurant."

Went for dinner nice place to eat, good food, bit pricey for Chinese food. The decoration simple but nice, location very convenient, they are open till late which is good.

The food here has been great for years whether lunch or dinner but the wine list struggles to keep up every time. Incredible duck pancakes this time but surely deserve better than Tsing Tao beer! Voir le carte

I stopped bye about 6PM on Sunday. The place was quiet. Within 45 minutes almost full. The food was very good, the service was as well. The ambiance is nice and clean. A bit higher end I would say. I will go back every time I am in London.

The only feature that reminded me of China was the too hot AC in the decrepit basement private room we hired. The food and service however bore no relation to a proper Chinese banquet. We waited ages for deep fried spring rolls and squid, then duck in pancakes, chicken and cashew nuts, special fried rice and whatever. Really no different from a Cantonese takeaway. The only green was a small ‘seaweed’ garnish. All served in a horrible room by clueless waiters. Chinese banquets are often the pinnacle of fine dining, I’m shocked by the rubbish Mayfair Garden.
