"I admit to being biased. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, and the options for German food are not as extensive as I would like, and I'm surprised that these days they haven't yet found a way to charge you for water and...cutlery. When I dine at a place like Postkeller, the value is just off the charts. There is almost a full menu of dinner options that cost less than an appetizer at some of the restaurants I visit back home. The portions at Postkeller are quite generous, and the food is very flavorful and delicious. And then there is the beer. Oh, the beer. In the San Francisco Bay area it is hard to find a taproom or brewpub where you can find a pint of draft craft beer for under often than not, you find a ounce pour of some beverage with odd fruit and spice flavors for At Postkeller you will have a wide range of beer choices for well under Euros for a half liter, and a number of options for under Euros. If you come between PM you can get a full liter of one of their beers for Euros. There are some good options to choose from. My wife and I went the other night. I tried two of their Edel Märzen beers. They were Euros each. My wife had the local Mittenwald Dunkel. Just terrific beers. My wife decided on a lighter meal, or so she thought. The omelette with mushrooms and cheese had to be at least three eggs. It came with potatoes and a side salad. This was under Euros. I had the Schweinshaxe (pork hock) with an extra salad. Those two items together were under Euros or less than at current exchange rates. You wouldn't be able to touch that price in the Bay Area. Places that do offer the dish back home don't produce a meal nearly as good. The total tab was under Euros. You are hard pressed to get two burritos and two agua frescas in the Bay Area for this amount. It is just a phenomenal value. I've spent over on dinners for two at home that weren't half as satisfying. There are many other restaurants in Mittenwald that serve similar food. I have been to quite a few of them. All of the ones I have tried serve excellent food at a similar price point, so if you are in the mood for traditional Bavarian food, you have many options. I will just say that all of them are excellent, and it is one of the reasons I have come to Mittenwald for over fifty years. I'm hoping I can make it over years."

we ate there three times and have a good tour through Bavarian cuisine. schweinshaxe (pork knuckle) is incredible, and her postkellerpfandl is really one to enjoy. they have jägertee and a large selection of schnaps (hirschkuß is recommended and the service is also good.

We spent approx three hours in the restaurant yesterday and the staff didn’t stop. They work so hard to deliver great food and beer. It’s not the first time we have visited but this time was really busy and the staff worked tirelessly. The beer...is really good and the food is hearty and tasty. Tip well, the staff deserve it !

We visited PostKeller mainly for the local beer which is excellent. The food is average Bavarian Food. Generous portions but there are better places to eat in Mittenwald. What was disappointing was the attitude of our young waitress who did not like English or apparently...American guests! Very rude girl and the reason why we did not tip. Voir le carte

We shared schnitzel and Weissbier for an early dinner here. We sat inside in the bar area due to the August heat, and were waited on promptly. The food was typical Bavarian food and the beer was very good. Atmosphere in the bar was pleasant,...due to everyone else being outside or seated in the restaurant area. Very large restaurant. We basically came for the beer, which was the highlight.

We stopped in for a local beer while touring Mittenwald yesterday. The family run Postkeller is a beautiful spot to eat or grab a quick beer. Its a family run operation with beautiful views of the mountains. Even though the family speaks little English, they...were warm, inviting, and we communicated well. The beer is terrific, and if you walk behind the brewery, there's a great store where you can buy Mittenwald brewery beer glasses! We bought a to take home. Well worth a visit.

we had booked a table there, but much less than half full. we ordered a glass of wine and a beer. then our waiting begins. guests at the table next to us with another waitress received drinks, eating and billing before us, although they arrived later. we ate ass carved, which was good, but we had to ask for salt. then it got better. the service was very slow and without smiles. as more guests came, the noise level increased a lot. level as with mc donalds. I always type, but this time not. Voir le carte

we have often visited this braupub, before I gave him staring and praised the busy staff, they still work incredibly hard, but this time we found the service a bit arrogant. we had several drinks and wanted to eat when we had ordered the next, but we said that the table was attacked, although there was no sign on the table in the opposite to the other reserved tables. there was a waiting queue for tables and clearly they didn't want us to stay because we had not eaten who had to be asked less rude approach, we were eating before we gave the table to others. the beer is very good.

I drove all the way from the southern tip of Switzerland try this brewery. I have to say it's totally worth it. The brewery has a pretty comprehensive shop where you can buy mugs, souvenirs, and of course beers in large quantity. Watch out for...their opening hours, the shop closes at mid-day on Saturday I think. Although the restaurant closes at but the kitchen stops pretty much after Their beer is great! I spent the afternoon there to try all of them. No complaints there. No complaints there. Food and service are pretty good as well. I find this restaurant very reasonably priced by Swiss standard.

"we visited the market restaurant for the first time and tried to eat here every later visit. we were not always successful because we were not sufficiently reserved in advance. I have reserved for our lunch today, and it would seem that lunch is a little easier to get a reservation. when we entered into us, we spent our entire walk in our apartment and talked about every single court we had in our four-course lunch. everyone was spectacular. the chef combines ingredients, aromas, textures and even article temperatures in a way that I had rarely experienced. my wife and I live in the san francisco bay area, and there are several restaurants that are listed michelin, and some that have stars. none of our local places are these innovative when it comes to bringing together courts. during our current visit, we decided again for the four-course lunch. the small starter who came before these four curses was remarkably tasty and playful in his presentation. it was another example for the clever use of contrasting textures and aromen in the construction of aligned. from the four curses that followed, the cortex tars was our favorite, and a beautiful representation of what I say. I had bark tars in many restaurants and in several countries. I never had one that was as vague as the one in the market restaurant. Sometimes you hear a combination, say for example ahi tartare and shaved white chocolate, and you could say that this would never work, but you would be wrong. this court I had in paris was an eye opener. the tartaric acid on the market has a similar character. the bark was in a “cloth” based on buttermilk, and the mild killing of buttermilk was irritable with the bark. it had a senfeis upstairs! how could that work? we loved it. there was a crispy mustard crumb. on the side of the bark were small amounts of liquid lemon cured. there were so many things that went before themselves in a court, and if there are so many things, you fear that they will not intercept. that was not the case here. I thought it was just brilliant. we also enjoyed our other courses very much. everyone had similar clever and delicious elements. we had a wonderful lunch. I will say if they are on a budget and travel with the family, this cannot be the best for them. I don't eat like that every day. if they are looking for an extravagant, exquisite meal that will be the culinary highlight of their visit, then they will go to the market restaurant. my wife and I often eat out, and among the highly valued restaurants closer to home is a michelin three-star restaurant that we dine. if I would compare market restaurant with this restaurant, I would rather only have a meal in the market restaurant than ten meals in the three-star restaurant, and that would be true if they were all paid by someone. the service is professional, but unpretentious, attentive, but not intrusive. the courts are innovate, but work. it's just a great culinary experience. next time we visit the middle of the forest, we will be sure to visit the restaurant again. our meals were simply amazing. I hope they can try the restaurant and enjoy it as much as we do. it's a bit pampered, but I don't know a place in the san francisco bay area I'm excited about."
