Pointe de Nyon - Menu

Belle terrasse ensoleillée pour boire un verre, mais nous avons fait l'erreur de venir trop tard à l'heure du déjeuner et nous avions faim ! J'avais toujours faim à midi ! Petites portions, menu limité (probablement bon si vous aimez l'écorce et que vous êtes prêts à payer un prix assez élevé ! Assez cher. Le service était...décevant pour le prix du restaurant - pas de pain ni d'eau offerts. La pizza était brûlée à la base. Très peu cuite pour la plupart des autres options.

Just ordered a "fondue" for three ... wait for a long time and when it arrives just looked like a big chewing gum dive in white wine without any taste. Ask to the director what can we do with that ? Nothing because according to him it's the normal taste of the fondue. My counsel just never ever order for a fondue et I hope that you will be more successful with other dishes. I just can ad that my brother in law ordered a "salade perigourgine " which has no interest at ... and most of all we wait it for a long time.

Très mauvaise sélection de plats. De plus, avons attendu jusqu'à une heure pour avoir un plat principal! Le menu n'est pas si génial même pour la montagne... Le seul point positif de venir ici est la vue et le fait qu'il y ait un super tire-fesse pour que les enfants skient pendant que les parents mangent... Cependant, le spectacle d'oiseaux était intéressant pour les enfants, j'aimerais savoir où ces oiseaux sont gardés? Et je pense que se concentrer sur la nourriture serait mieux que de tenter de faire un aigle performer.

Très calme au début de l'été, assis dehors sur le balcon avec une vue magnifique sur les montagnes. Le personnel était rapide et serviable, et la nourriture était très bonne, menu similaire à celui de la plupart des restaurants savoyards locaux, mais très bonne tarte aux aubergines, tomates séchées au soleil et fromage de chèvre et tartare de bœuf très généreux. Le menu enfant est un peu limité (steak hache ou nuggets de poulet) mais une assiette de charcuterie a très bien plu. Je recommanderais certainement de m'arrêter pour manger un morceau sur le chemin menant au sommet.

Situated close to the chair lift at the bottom of the "bowl" you can ski straight in and we had no trouble at all getting a table (12.30ish). It was a gloriously sunny day so we sat outside on the veranda and our waiter even provided straw hats to protect us from the sun!The food is good and plenty of it and service was spot-on - just what we wanted after a hard morning skiing. After lunch we moved to the deck chairs to soak up some more sun and were very entertained by a group who were practising some jumps on the slope just in front of the restaurant......and that bit cost nothing!!

Having returned to Morzine for our annual 'man-ski' ski trip we made a point of going back to Pointe de Nyon where we'd had a great lunch on the mountain the year before. We were not disappointed and this large and very busy restaurant located at the top of the Nyon lift (near the Inferno chalet) served up some fantastic food, quickly and with great service - way ahead of most mountaintop venues.The top-tip for this place has got to be the Plat du Jour which has been absolutely delicious both times of asking and amazing value at around 12 euro (obviously the dish will vary each day!).If you find yourself over this side of Morzine at lunchtime then I can't recommend this place enough. Visited as a lunch stop during a recent ski trip and both my father and I were impressed.This isn't the cheapest restaurant on the mountain but then again there is no such thing as a cheap meal on the mountain!Even at peak lunch time we were seated very quickly and served very quickly too. 2 x Pizzas (€17 each) and 2 x Cafe Gourmand (€10 each) were all very good. Veuillez réfléchir attentivement avant d'utiliser ce restaurant. Nous ne savions pas avant qu'ils ne se soient installés qu'ils utilisaient des animaux vivants pour "retenir" les clients. Un jeune hibou (le premier invité de la "première équipe" a été utilisé pour effectuer une annonce en intérieur, son dresseur avait du mal à lui faire obéir, le hibou était clairement perturbé et au lieu de voler vers le collègue, il a volé vers un luminaire (probablement brûlé) puis a simplement volé vers une vitre en verre, l'oiseau étourdi a rapidement été emporté et le dîneur a dit. I went here on a Saturday with a small group of friends to take a lunch break from skiing. We sat down around 12:30 and there was plenty of room. Our waitress was quick to assist us and our food came quickly.The food, however, was very mediocre. I ordered the Chanterelles mushroom pasta and it was practically flavorless. Whatever flavor it did have was not good; it could have used some salt perhaps but there was none at the table.
