"We were here today and what should I say? The restaurant honors its name! ...and that is literally meant! For explanation: With this great food, I can only be believed as well as the monks in the Meteora monasteries. And I believe now that there is fantastic Greek food in Großostheim that you must have tried! I always like to do the cookery of “Balkanrestaurants” on how the liver is prepared and this, including the rest of the food, was delicious! I don't even shy away from comparison with the etymology of “Meteora” That's up! Not to forget, of course, the very nice staff! We're coming back! ...and the prices are very reasonable. Satt were all and the dessert (Greek yogurt with honey) was great!"

"Zur Mittagszeit war der Biergarten gut besucht. Der einzige freie Tisch stand in der prallen Sonne. Deshalb sind wir in die Gaststube gegangen. Wir waren eine Gruppe von 4 Leuten. Die Bedienung hat es nicht für nötig gehalten uns einen Tisch anzubieten. Ausser dem Satz "suchen Sie sich selbst einen Platz" kam nichts. In einem Weinhaus das etwas besser sein will, erwarte ich etwas anderes. Nach 5 Minuten wurden die Speisekarten gebracht, nach weiteren 10 Minuten wurden die Bestellungen für die Getränke aufgenommen. Nach 15 Minuten kamen diese, obwohl die Bestellung elektronisch erfolgte. Nach weiteren 15 Minuten wurde die Bestellung für das Essen aufgenommen, das nach 30 Minuten serviert wurde. Insgesamt hat es eine gute Stunde gedauert, bis das Essen serviert wurde. Die Schlachtschüssel war ok, aber an Schwarte waren jede Menge Schweineborsten dran. Die hausmacher Wurst war ziemlich geschmacklos.Trotz leerer Gläser, wurden wir nicht gefragt, ob wir noch ein Getränk bestellen wollen. Optisch sahen alle gebrachten Speisen gut aus.Beim Bezahlen bedurfte es 2 Aufforderungen, bis die Rechnung kam. Unser Mittagessen hat ungefähr 2 Stunden gedauert. Und das an einem Mittwoch Mittag. Das Gefühl willkommen zu sein, hatte ich zu keinem Zeitpunkt. Service und Freundlichkeit sind verbesserungswürdig."

"Leider übernachte ich viel zu selten im Frankfurter Raum, da der Landgasthof Hock sicher wieder eine Reise wert wäre. Das Zimmer sehr sauber, Standard-Ausstattung und angenehme Größe. nicht abgewohnt, man kann sich wohlfühlen. Das Essen war sehr lecker, es gab am Abend meines Aufenthalts Schlachtschüssel - das ist sicher nicht jedermanns Sache, aber die war sehr lecker. Die Speisen am Nebentisch sahen auch sehr gut aus.Amüsant (und empfehlenswert) ist sicher, dem Stammtisch bei seinen Gesprächen zu lauschen. Da ist sehr oft ein Augenzwinkern dabei und man merkt, dass das "Dorf" hier noch funktioniert. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker, mit - wie ich denke - vielen hausgemachten Produkten, es wurde ohne Nachfrage ein Ei angeboten (hatte ein Spiegelei, muss vom Nachbarn sein, sehr dunkles, geschmackvolles Dotter). Zu den Wirtsleute und der Bedienung kann ich nur sagen, dass sie mir gegenüber sehr freundliche waren. Alles wurder erklärt, man wurde rasch bedient und nett verabschiedet."

"a very beautiful and extremely remote restaurant with very beautiful beer garden. in the summer they can sit out perfectly. there are typical German in large portions. drinks are a large selection of beer and self-breeded beer. otherwise the usual drinks in a restaurant. because the restaurant is very remote, it is nicely quiet here and they can enjoy the landscape while they eat or simply have a French."
