"Diesen Sommer habe ich eine Party im Oberen Wirt gefeiert. Meine Gäste und ich waren einfach nur happy: das Essen war schlicht und einfach fantastisch und super lecker, das Fleisch auf dem Punkt, alles sehr gut gewürzt und abgeschmeckt. Der Koch Christian versteht sein Handwerk und man schmeckt die Freude, die er beim Kochen hat! Wer wirklich gutes Essen mag, wird sich hier wie zu Hause fühlen und immer wieder kommen wollen! Die Bedienung Jana war nicht nur unglaublich schnell, sondern auch herzlich, jederzeit freundlich und unkompliziert. Es hat nie an etwas gefehlt und die Gäste haben sich sehr willkommen gefühlt. Der Gasthof hat auch einige Zimmer, alle Gäste die dort übernachtet haben, haben sich sehr wohl gefühlt. Ich würde jederzeit wieder im Oberen Wirt feiern und kann das Gasthaus nur empfehlen. Es ist zum einen ein schöner Zwischenstopp, wenn man rund um Kipfenberg und Kinding wandern geht oder auch ein Ort, an dem man an Wochenenden gerne mit der Familie hingeht oder eben auch kleine oder größere Feiern feiert."

"Wir waren zu sechst dort und alle begeistert. Alles frisch gemacht und in guter Qualität, zudem ist die Bedingungen sehr freundlich und zum Schluss sind wir mit dem Chef ins Gespräch gekommen, der unseren ein Eindruck bestätigt hat. Nach seiner Aussage ist alles frisch zubereitet und wurden die Öffnungszeiten nur noch auf abends geändert, da ihm die Qualität wichtiger war, als das Mittagsgeschäft (beides war wohl nicht zu bewerkstelligen). Von uns eine Empfehlung und wir gehen heute gleich nochmal hin"

"We stayed for a holiday in Kipfenberg and were looking for a restaurant. Due to Google reviews, we were initially skeptical at this restaurant. We went to the restaurant and were very positively surprised. The service was friendly, the food came fast, was hot and very tasty. We had a common appetizer, two main dishes and two desserts. All meals were TOP. The only suggestion for improvement would be that the restaurant can pay with card. At present, only cash payment is possible, here we were used to Corona and contactless payment. All in all we will recommend this restaurant. In our opinion, it did not deserve the negative reviews."

Parking is abundant. in front of the gasthof there is also a terrace that has not been operated today at the low temperatures. inside the dining room is bright and friendly, with a lot of bright wood and tasteful decoration. on the tables are clean fabric tablecloths and medium ceilings, a small vase with fresh cut flowers serves as table decoration. we were the first guests and were welcomed immediately. the service was made today by two young services, pretty dressed in stylish dirt. always friendly, attentive and flink. the menu offers numerous tassels from the old-fashioned lamb, for example the lamb panders Bartholomääh, lambbread sausage, meat plants, roast medaillons and lamb fillet. In addition to the usual dressings of the Bavarian and German cuisine of soups, appetizers, broth, main dishes and desserts, fish and vegetarian meals are also on the map. Today there were three different trout dishes also seaweed, wild salmon and zander. as an appetizer today we took Garlauchbrote (3.50 euros). three roasted white bread with garlic butter and with tomato pieces. the garlic was freshly chopped and the broth tasted excellent. the smoked trout with roast potatoes (14.90 euros was warm and had a great aroma for waxed berries. the fish was delicate and very good in taste, but with the bones you must be careful. the brat potatoes were beautifully roasted, but slightly salted out therefore easier to take off points. in a small valley there were still some stratisfied Merrettich creams down the freshly grated Merrettich, on which the beats saw. the fillet of wild salmon with a fairy-blue cream (13.90 euros was practically free from bones. the fish of a somewhat firmer texture than the trout, formed a beautiful color contrast to the greenish beard sauce. that was great for salmon and salt potatoes. beautifully aromatic with not too much. an apfelschorle (0.4 ltr. proposes to book with passionate 3.30 euros.
