We had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. Lisa, our server, was attentive, friendly, and professional. We will definitely be returning on Boxing Day!

Wonderful service at this branch, one of the best I've been to! The food was served piping hot and the atmosphere was lovely. Our drinks were served promptly and our waitress had amazing knowledge of the menu and dietary requirements. I would definitely be happy to return. Thank you!

The standard. Pizza express never fails. Great service. We arrived early, so refreshingly quiet. All the staff we great. Particular mention to Liam and Linda. Have not been here for some time and booked for a friend’s birthday. All staff were great, but a special shout out to Lisa, who was friendly, attentive and proficient. Seamless service with lots of menu knowledge. Sooo right about the sorbet! Great food and will be sure to not leave it so long before we go back again

I have visited this pizza restaurant multiple times and decided to go back recently. The pizza was delicious and substantial, with well-cooked dough and generous toppings. However, the downside was that there were too many tables crammed into the space. We were seated right next to a walkway connecting the restaurant, causing the service staff to constantly squeeze past us and accidentally bump into my partner's bag hanging on her chair. The staff were unapologetic, making it clear that their priority was maximizing profits over providing good customer service.

It’s been a while. I think the last time we visited PE was a couple of years ago now and we were really glad we did … the restaurant itself has had a really nice facelift and their food game has really been upped with special Mention to the spicy hot ndjula dough balls , the burnt ends brisket romana and ndjula calzone which were all excellent . However the real reason for the decision to write a review is down to the fantastic service we receive d from the team both EJ the manager and Liam looked after us all so well , really engaging sincere in their desire to give us the best experience they could, really can’t rate them highly enough, best service we have had anywhere in a very longtime... I visited pizza express in Colchester for a family birthday The restaurant location and setting was nice The restaurant wasn't particularly spacious and the tables were set very close to each other. The food; We ordered calamari and dough balls first, very average the calamari resembled onion rings. The more expensive pizzas, we ordered 2, were stretched smaller bases, so thin they were almost transparent and crispy all over Very disappointing and poor value. The smaller pizzas were good. The bill for 4 starters 6 main courses and one drink each was £162.00! the service was fine. I wasn't in the mind to complain as it was a birthday party and didn't want to spoil it. We came in for a bite to eat mid week lunch time. There were a few tables already sat when we arrived. Lisa who served us was amazing. Very friendly, males the experience feel special by treating everyone like they are the only thing that matters. She gets to know you and engages really well. She clearly loves her job and she is amazing at it. The food was great and the menu caters for lots of allergens. Myoartner has a dairy allergy and there is plenty of choice for her. Not sure what happened to this place, we’ve been coming here on and off since 2000 and never had a bad meal or service until tonight. Tonight (NYE) we booked a table around 7ish, several things unavailable on the menu which we were not told about until we ordered as they’d assumed we saw the notices on the door (which was held open by happy diners leaving). The service felt rushed despite the restaurant being half empty at this time, I get it was NYE and staff probably had plans but assumed an early table would be a good choice.
